On the lake near Heavenly and Sierra ski areas.Casinos within two miles. Friendly staff. Activities director, Melanie sent us to Base Camp Pizza - best I have ever eaten. We skied all day and soaked in the hot tub after. Enjoyed this place. Love the location!

Rented car and used this as a base for mix of self catering and bought food as a skiing base.
Bed excellent, spa small but fine for post ski soak, quiet and central location, kids slept on pull out bed

Room Tip: rooms on side facing beach/lake good. Rooms onto high way south facing

Our family had some special needs and changes that we requested during booking of our room. Kathy, the Guest Services Supervisor was so gracious and accommodating! She made me feel like I was her only guest, and met all my needs. We are really excited to go on our Tahoe vacation here and for sure will make face-to-face friends with Kathy.

Just completed a two week stay at this resort (2/1-2/15). Despite having to deal with having one entire building down for upgrade, the staff found great accommodations for my wife and I and for my Son and daughter-in-law. Very convenient for skiing and the staff could not be more helpful. Minor maintenance issues were addressed very quickly. New pumps for the jacuzzi made it one of the best I've seen at a resort with very powerful jets and a nice 104 deg temperature. Would recommend this resort to anyone seeking to visit the South Lake Tahoe area.

Room Tip: Unit number 1301 in the Carson Building was one of the largest and most comfortable 1 Bedroom standa...

We stayed here for 4 nights in a 2bdrm 3bath condo with our 3 grown sons. We were told there was going to be construction going on during our stay & we were tempted to cancel our reservations but we had already booked this stay with our RCI points & didn't want to hassle with changing plans and knew we wouldn't be able to find another place on such short notice in Tahoe so we kept our booking. We were not disappointed!!! We were in a newly remodeled space with 2 huge rooms, 3 large bathrooms, a mini kitchen & a living room with a balcony that ran the entire length of our rooms. The kitchen lacked a stove but the staff brought us up some pans & a counter 2 burner contraption before we had even brought up all our luggage. The master bath even had a huge soaking jetted tub which was fabulous, especially after a day on the slopes! The game room was a fun diversion while we dried our wet ski clothes. It had a pool table, foosball, a huge flatscreen, big sofa and a kiddie area where my adult sons sat down & built cabins with Lincoln Logs while I cracked up! We had a great time here & would definitely come back and stay again. The staff were super nice and when I needed to print something out on the computer in the media center, they made sure it was filled with paper for me. The only a few negatives were that there is a down alternative type mattress cover under the sheets on all the mattresses and we were miserable hot the first night. After that we just pulled them off & remade the beds and slept fine. =) Not such a big deal. The rooms are so well insulated that we really never even had to turn on the heat and except for the noisy family across the hall with kids talking loudly at 8am for a few minutes, we never heard anyone or anything. Never once heard construction equipment going on in another building. I couldn't even hear my own sons in the next room very well with their TV's on if my bedroom door was shut. The lights fixtures were all really nice too. My husband was perturbed at the $66 cleaning fee added to our bill up front because we weren't staying a full week, but I kind of get that. The kitchen was stocked with a blender, plates, cups, bowls, silverware, knives, cooking utensils, dish soap & a pad, a few kitchen towels, a microwave, a large toaster oven, coffee maker & a midsize frig. We made our own breakfasts & lunches and ate dinners out. Which brings me to my last complaint....we made the mistake of going to the Pizza Hut for a cheap dinner. The salads were fine and large but the pizza was the worst pizza hut pizza we have ever had. Totally don't go here!! We did go to Blue Dog Pizza one night...great salads & pizza, but the large pizza is more like a medium & priced like an extra large. Perfect size for 3 adults max!! Nice people there tho. There is a pizza place in the Heavenly Village right by the movie theater that we wish we would have gone to. There was live music there when we went to the movies Tuesday night & a great ambiance.

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms that have been remodeled.

The staff was very helpful getting us settled in. Our group had a studio and a one bedroom unit. Both were in building 2 (bliss building) and the recent updates are great. Not much of a lake view from this building, but an our second story room had a fine view of the ski slopes. When they finish building 5 renovations, there will be some great lake views from there. The tennis court looks like it is in great shape, and the whole place is very clean. We didn't use much of the facilities, but we sure enjoyed the great location. Close to everything you could need and right on the strip. Good complimentary wifi.

There are some fancier buildings on the outside, but be hesitant to book here. It is a great place for a week.

Thanks TBSC for a great week.

I have stated here several times and am pretty pleased with the place and the amenities. The rooms are spacious and the one bedroom units have two bathrooms which was very nice I had one all to myself. There are soaking tubs with bubbles as well as a walk in shower in the other bathroom. Almost full kitchen. They don't have cooktops but will bring you a hot plate and pots and pans, electric tea kettle or crockpot so that was good. Kinda miss the cooktop. Most places I get have full kitchens but we made due and it was ok we just didn't cook as much as we normally do. The view and access to the lake makes all the difference though. I wanna come in the summer and just launch my kayak right from here. Not a lot going on around in this area but it's only about 1 mile walk or bike ride to heavenly shops and casinos. Very nice place to stay right in town come check them out.
