“This was our 2nd night - glad we stayed”
Reviewed 7 August 2014

My first experience in South Lake Tahoe wasn't great. I booked a room at another hotel through Hotels Tonight, but I didn't read the reviews. Before booking a second night in the area I read reviews and found this hotel.
The bad: hallways are dirty, rooms are a bit dated, the parking lot was difficult to get in and out of, wifi wasn't that great. The good: linens on bed were updated, room included a mini fridge, our room had a balcony, staff was friendly and quick with service, tv was small but good quality. The bathrooms were actually surprisingly sterile. To me, that's a good thing! I'd rather have a bathroom with all white walls, floors, and curtains, than a bathroom with a color that hides dirt.
I can't really complain much about this place. It's not a luxury or above average hotel, but it was good and clean considering our budget.

Room Tip: Bring a flash light - streets around hotel & going towards the main strip are really dark!

It looks a bit tired but then its not the most expensive hotel in town. It has amazing staff, a good pool, parking and its quiet as its off the main street. breakfast was good and all day coffee great. Wifi fast and free and 100% reliable. Beach pass included and its 5 mins from the beach and 5 mins from the lifts - what more coud you ask for.

The front desk staff are quite nice and then you get into your room. The hallways are dirty and disgusting. That carpet needs to be switched out badly. The rooms are spacious but in major need of updates. The location is convenient for summertime concerts and thankfully we were only there to shower and sleep. Time for new mattresses and pillows. The rooms need attention and mega redos but if all you need is a place to lay your head it will suffice. The sheets were clean.

Room Tip: Third floor. Quieter.

Nice place to stay with private beach passes to the beach a block away where we rented peddle boats and a kayak.Nice pool and sauna but hot tub was hot but jets were really weak, breakfast was ok small area, staff was really nice and rooms were average, close to casinos also we would stay here for sure, especially if the hot tub jets were fixed.

Room Tip: Upstairs with a balcony.

We chose to stay here based on other reviews. The staff were all very nice. We stayed on a busy, sold out Friday night and parking was tight. After driving around Tahoe for an hour looking for a place to park, we finally headed back to the hotel. The staff member was understanding and allowed us to park our truck and jet ski. Unfortunately, the room was horrendous. It smelled of old food, the bathroom was dirty, chairs/carpet stained, hair in the coffee pot. The rooms definitely need a complete makeover and they should really consider upgrading from real keys to electronic keycards. We would be very hard pressed to stay here again.

We stayed here for the July 4th Holiday. The rooms were clean, service was outstanding and the location is difficult to beat! A couple blocks from the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants make it a must stay! James and Angela provide top notch service! Their staff was amazing. They definitely aim to please and are successful at it! They even had a BBQ by the pool in which they provided food, drinks and music before the fabulous South Lake fireworks! We will definitely stay here each time we visit the beautiful Lake Tahoe! Thank you for a memorable July 4th!
