We found 3 Peaks via trip advisor and decided to give it a try for two nights based on the very positive reviews. We were not disappointed!! We travel a lot and usually stay at higher end national hotel chains but found this little place cozy, super clean, quiet and in a spot on convenient location. And the rate during our stay in mid April 2014 was only $44.00 per night (final price including taxes). What a bargain! The rooms have a cabin like feel with knotty pine walls and are in very good condition. Super easy / short walk to all the main attractions, beach, restaurants, stores, casinos, Heavenly ski slopes, etc. There is an excellent grocery store( also in walkable distance), Raley's, in the main shopping area..
I have to say the low price had us wondering about the location, condition, etc of the place before we arrived. Not to worry! Safe, clean, accommodations-- nice change of pace from the chains. We paid more just to park for two days at a Sheraton!!! Rated our room as average as we had the basic room ( no fireplace, hot tub, etc). We will definitely return next year.

We stayed at 3 Peaks Resort earlier this week. We reserved 2 rooms with queen beds, upon arrival we were upgraded to 2 bedroom suites. Thanks 3 Peaks. Patrick in the office was very helpful upon check out. We enjoyed the beautiful hot tub in the evening. I really appreciate that the entire property is dog friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We booked through Expedia and the price we paid was well worth it.
No continental breakfast in the morning (would be a plus if they did have it) however there is coffee and tea available all day long.

Thank you Wendy for making our stays here AWESOME!

We stayed here twice to go skiing and really liked it. Both times we got really nice rooms, the hot tub is great and much nicer than what we expected. It's really more like two small pools linked by a waterfall. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

We'll definitely come back!

Room Tip: The suites are great.

What a fabulous motel ! Small changes could have made it a five star motel. It needs a complimentary breakfast, a microwave in the room. But still it's a hidden gem, in a big variety of crabby motels. We only had one night in a poolside suite, with a private hot tub in our room. We were here on our cross country tour, and felt really comfy.
Great place, consider the breakfast !
Rates were low, which made it even more attractive.

I LOVE THIS HOTEL so much I made my boss get a corporate stay account for me. I sleep well, it's clean quiet, spacious and trendy next to the pool. LOVE LOVE LOVE. But please don't book too much I like to have a room open when I'm in town ;)

Room Tip: By the pool. Check out the rooms to make an upgrade decision and buy the wood for a fire such a gre...

Attractive, cozy place with affordable rates right in the heart of the action in South Lake Tahoe. Owen at the front desk was really helpful and upgraded me to a suite at no extra charge. Pet-friendly as well.
