“The best place in the world for vacation with family!”

We stayed here in October 2014 for 8 nights as a base for exploring South Lake Taho. Clean cozy place for family and friends. The place is close to the Heavenly area of SLT, within walking distance of Stateline Casino's. I am sure will come here in winter!

“Wonderful Stay!”
Reviewed 20 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have just returned from Tahoe and I just wanted to say what a wonderful stay it was. I usually don’t write reviews, but I found this property on TripAdviser, read previous review and decided to write my own as I totally disagree. The cabin was lovely and very clean. It must’ve been the cleaning wasn’t done properly for the previous guest, but when we checked in, the cabin was sparkly clean – the floors, all surfaces, bathrooms.. No smell, no cobwebs whatsoever. The walls were freshly painted, looked like the sleeping sofa (which was pretty comfy to sleep on) and coffee tables were brand new. Kitchen has everything you might need for cooking and we used their BBQ a couple of times. Pack n play came in handy, it was a plus we didn’t have to pack our own. Inside it is a truly beautiful unit – for this price we could only find old “cozy” tiny places with ancient furniture. Hottub was a treat – kids loved it too. There is also a table and 4 chairs on the patio. The table is tiny, so we didn’t eat there, but it was nice to have a cup of tea outside once kids fell asleep.

Yes, this place is where the locals live (we only saw a couple other properties for rent in the area), kids playing outside, grandparents sitting watching them – a real suburb, but they were all nice and friendly. But how close it is to everything!!! During the week drove our car only a couple of times for sightseeing, but all other times walked! The cabin is right next to Heavenly Village. Took us less than a minute to go to grocery store, less than 5 minutes to a movie theater. The Gondola is right there too, so must be nice to walk to ski in the winter. Really nice restaurants in the area – went to sushi place, some upscale pizza by Gondola, Hawaiian place was also good. Cold Stone Creamery made kids happy. All walking distance!

Anna, the owner, was very nice to deal with, always quickly replied to my numerous questions. Overall we were very happy and will be returning to this cabin this winter to ski, can’t wait!

“Heavenly Townhouse?”
Reviewed 1 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Booked for 10days & 9nights for a group of 6. Nice & close to the Heavenly area of SLT, within walking distance of Stateline Casino's & a nice beach on the lake. Arrived at the scheduled check in time to find the cleaning ladies leaving which initially made us smile. But upon seeing the inside, it was obvious a thorough cleaning hadn't been done.
We found 2.5 rolls of toilet paper to last 6 people 10 days, so we had to buy our own. Linens & towels were clean but there was a stale urine smell throughout the townhouse. Pans/dishes were dirty, a crumb filled basket on the kitchen counter, mouse droppings in the water heater closet which shares the same floor as the kitchen, mold in the shower & on the shower curtain liner, dust covered baseboards, cabinets & refrigerator, cobwebs hanging from vents & lights, dirty towels hanging in the mudroom along with a pile of dirt, the plastic liner was falling apart in the hot tub which filled the water with the broken pieces, ceiling lights were burned out, carpet was heavily stained & the walls had several scratches & crayon on them, broken & fairly gross toilet seats.
The urine smell got better after we washed the bathroom rugs twice. After we arrived, we unloaded our belongings into the townhouse & walked to eat dinner. When we got back, we realized someone had come into the townhouse while we were gone. We chalked it up to maybe someone seeing if the cleaning crew did their job. Last day/night we were there, the hot water stopped working.
Before posting this review we emailed our concerns to the owner & learned she was unaware of the issues & actually has an agent take care of this place. I'm sure the agent is wishing they hadn't taken advantage of the owner. Though this townhouse is close to Heavenly/Stateline, it didn't appear to be the greatest neighborhood as we had to see the folks across the street sit in their yard literally all day smoking/drinking, with the husband constantly yelling & MF'n his wife. With a few changes this place could be awesome. We definitely expected more for what we paid.
