“Wonderful staff and awesome trails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We were looking to rent bikes and wanted some nice long scenic trails. We came across Anderson's Bike Rentals on TripAdvisor and decided to check them out. A GREAT decision!! The staff was very accommodating and told us exactly what trails to take to get the best views as long as a good bike ride. The trails were not too strenuous but still challenging with some ups and downs. The were paved which made it easier to ride.

While on the trail we visited Tallac Historical Site, Pope Beach and Baldwin Beach which each provided its own story. On the way back to the rental place we rode up to Fallen Leaf Lake. The last 1/4 mile to the lake was a hike but well worth the amazing views of the lake and mountains in the background.

When we returned to the base, we were greeted once again by the wonderful staff and settled our bill which the operator there prorated so we didn't overpay for the adventure.

I highly recommend Anderson's and for a nice quiet ride, get there at 8:30 AM when they open up and you'll have the trail all to yourself!

“Nice place to rent a bike!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 May 2014

Anderson's Bike Rental is a nice business to rent a bike, friendly customer service, helpful in showing you the bike paths, and reasonable in the rental fee. This was a last minute bike ride for us, only rode two hours would enjoyed a full day. Thought about going back out next day, but woke up to snow in South Lake Tahoe!! Snow in May????? Anything is possible in this beautiful area!
Great experience! ;)

“Awesome staff & beautiful scenery”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013

Anderson's was recommended to us by the Concierge at Harvey's. We wanted an easy ride and to see some beautiful scenery. Anderson's staff was great at outfitting us with the proper bikes and helmets. They took the time to show us the various points of interest along the bike trail. Although the buildings at the various historical sites were closed due to the government shutdown, the exteriors were beautiful. In addition, we were able to see the slamon spawing area on the south side of the lake. It was nice that Anderson's only charges you for the time you have the bikes out. You never know how long or short you maybe out on the trail. Our hotel even had a 10% coupon deal. Anderson's was great and so was our bike excursion!

“Perfect Day!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 October 2013

Do yourself a favor and visit the good guys at Anderson's for a fun day of biking in the Tahoe area. Great value ($30/half day) or $10/hr, paved bike path thru forest right next to rental stand. We also took the marked path to Fallen Leaf Lake which was a beautiful hidden gem (the guys will give you a good map).

Great for families or couples...haven't had that much fun in years!

“Well maintained bikes, very friendly customer experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 8 October 2013

I have rented bikes several times from a place up the road. Never again. Renting from Anderson's Bicycle Rental was a wonderful experience. First the guys that helped my husband and me chose and adjust the bikes were so charming and friendly. I appreciated their pricing system. Ten dollars an hour and if you return at 1 hour 20 minutes then they charge you accordingly. You are not pressured to watch the clock to get the bike back by a certain time. Then there are the bikes. Even at the end of the season, the bikes where new. They were well maintained and it was easy to jump on and ride. They provided us with a bike lock. A nice touch. The seats were comfortable. Going to buy a similar seat when I return home. There are a lot of bike rental companies in South Lake. Anderson does stand apart.
