“Indulgent romance in Tahoe”
Reviewed 1 March 2014

This is our second night at the hotel and so far I am loving every but of our stay. In-room fireplace? Check. Heated bathroom floors? Check. In-room jacuzzi? Check. Personal library? Check. Champagne on arrival and a bottle to celebrate in room? Crazy awesome. The attentive staff at this hotel are only superseded by the wonderful interiors. You get the feel of staying in a luxurious cabin except it comes with a complimentary car and ski valet as well as a convenient shuttle to spots around Tahoe. The spa is somewhat pricey but excellent. Apres ski massages are highly recommended. I took one star off for overall value because at this price a continental breakfast or brunch of some sort would be nice(maybe with a small supplement?). However we were very pleased to celebrate a short honeymoon here and can't wait to return as soon as
possible!

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our 7 night stay and would most definitely return. Thank you so much to Suresh the food and beverage manager and his team for making our dining at Jimmys a memorable time. We absolutely loved the a la carte breakfast as opposed to a typical American style buffet. The food was absolutely divine at both breakfast and dinner. The service was second to none and no detail was left unnoticed or desire unfulfilled.

Danny from bell service suggested the best place for my boyfriend to propose to me, Sand Harbour and even organised for a bottle of champagne to be in our room when we returned...so lovely and very much appreciated :-). We were given lots of special attention during our celebratory dinner at the Jimmy's restuarant in the evening. We couldn't have chosen a better place and people to celebrate with.

We really appreciated everything from the inviting warm and comfortable room which allowed us to unwind and relax after a long day on the slopes to Dawn's cocktails and Mylan's small plates on the menu at Jimmy's. It was real treat to eat such quality food during our stay.

The views from the room and restaurant are just breathtaking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this boutique style hotel and loved the personable service as the staff became familiar with us. All staff exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to make this trip an extra special and memorable one.

We were so happy with our choice to stay at The Landings Resort & Spa for our first trip to South Lake Tahoe and will most definitely return soon.

We did not know what to expect but as we drove up and saw waiting valets standing ready to receive us we already knew we were in a special place. Our room was incredibly cozy and felt unlike any hotel we had visited before. The heated toilet seat was a surprising but welcomed extra! The décor was so thoughtful I felt like I was in some one's beautiful home. The food was AMAZING. We are looking forward to coming back and spending another relaxing weekend here.

We just stayed here for two nights. The weather wasn't good enough for skiing so we were really happy to stay at this wonderful hotel. The check in was very friendly. The bell man was very nice and welcoming. Even offered to take off our chains from the car. Staff at front desk very nice and welcoming too. The hotel of course is brand new and therefore there is nothing to complain about dirt or broken appliances. We had a Superior Lake Front Room (1301) on the top floor. Nice décor and modern appliances. Heated marble floor in the bathroom. The rain shower is very exclusive as well the heated and lighted toilet seat. Awesome. The complimentary soap and other utensils are luxurious. We ate at the restaurant Jimmys for Dinner and Breakfast. It was very delicious. This is not a place just for quick food. Everything was fresh made and delicious.

We already booked another trip in March. This is the hotel we like and we hope it is going to stay this clean and well maintained. It is very easy to get 5 stars when everything is brand new so we will see what the reviews look like in a year from now.

The location is very nice. It's right at the lake front. It's a short walk to the casinos and gondola. However it would be too far away for walking in ski boots. But they do have a shuttle.

I recommend this hotel if you expect higher standard and first class service and you are willing to pay a few dollars extra for it.

I travel over 150 nights a years but call South Lake Tahoe home. My wife and I had a wonderful experience here for Valentines Day. The staff could not have been friendlier. Whoever is in charge of customer service training is going a great job. Smiles all around from the valet, the door man, to reception.

The property is on the site of an old hotel right next to the Lake but it's been completely rebuilt. The styling is impeccable. We've stayed at almost every SLT hotel for a weekend get away and The Landing is head and shoulders above every other one for luxury. The heated floors, marble bathrooms, fireplaces and European decor are not your average casino room not a Marriott big box hotel. Very small boutique hotel that reminds you your a special guest.

The hotel is right across the street from the lake and about two blocks from heavenly village. For summer, nothing like it on the lake, winter, I am assuming they have valet to the slopes.

There is a rooftop Terrance that was closed for the season (we were there in Feb) but I assume it will be a bar in summer. If it is they will get my business. Views on par with Edgewood Country Club. It would also make a great place to hold a wedding but not sure if that's a service they offer.

We are at Jimmy's and had a couples massage in the spa, check my other reviews for those.

We lucked out! I found The Landing Resort & Spa by reading reviews on tripadvisor. I am so glad I did. We stayed in a lake view room and it was amazing. Everything about the room was perfect, everything is clean and new and it is gorgeous! The fireplace was great and I got the best sleep while staying there. There are lots of extra nice features like the heated floors, spa tub and steam shower in the bathroom and the decor is perfect for a Tahoe retreat! The hotel is quiet, there is a place to eat but the menu wasn't our taste so we didn't eat there. The spa looked amazing, the gym was great and the hot tub proved popular in the snow!
Exceptional customer service is an understatement. The staff is quick to assist with anything and the free shuttle was a great bonus for us! I hope the hotel stays this amazing so we can stay again!
