Noss Mayo is a beautiful village and this property is ideally located for your stay. Four of us stayed plus a Jack Russell and we all thoroghly enjoyed our visit. There are loads of walks through fabulous countryside, over cliffs and by the riverside. Only parking was for a small car. Would imagine in peak months this could be difficult. All in all a delightful well equiped cottage that we would like to stay in again.

“Superb cottage”

If you are looking for a location that offers peace, tranquillity, scenery, great walking, wildlife and a decent pub/restaurant this is it.
The cottage is right in the middle of the village and has a great view from the first floor lounge. Full of quirky bits and pieces you feel right at home straightaway.

“A very special place to stay”

The cottage is in a wonderful position in Noss Mayo which if you have not been is definately worth visiting.
The village adjoins Newton Ferrers which is situated overlooking the River Yealm.
The place is great for sailing as it has sheltered waters and safe for kids.
There are three pubs in the locality, The ship which is a stones throw from the cottage is super and The Dolphin over at Newton has a really good atmosphere and popular with the locals.
The Swan was a disappointment, the drinks we had were very flat and nobody was in which says a lot. (it was over the weekend)
Sadly we didnt return...
We visited Plymouth, Salcombe and Dartmouth whilst we were there which are not too far away.(all within 45 mins)
The cottage itself is bigger inside than it looks and has everything you need.
Parking wasn't an really an issue as i managed to get my 4x4 on the drive, it just takes a little practice.
But don't worry you can park at the nearby car park if you are struggling.
There is a pretty garden opposite with table and chairs and catches the sun for most part of the day.
The owner Annebel is reliable and gets back to you quickly so no worries there.

Lovely stay Dec and New year.
Cottage well equipped and stylish/quirky which we loved.
Noss Mayo is gorgeous, and we had plenty of great walks by sea and inland.
Love it!

Noss mayo is a beautiful location and the cottage is well positioned. Very peaceful and relaxing cottage. Beds very comfortable. Real fire which is cosy for colder months. Wonderful walks and stunning scenery on the doorstep. Dartmoor within driving distance. I would recommend a stay here.

“Fantastic Location”
Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

A really cosy cottage with oodles of character, but also all the necessary amenities. Located at the very heart of the village, with plenty to do nearby- tennis, parks, cliff walks. Its also right on the estuaury and within spitting distance of a very god pub- the Ship.

Management Response

Wifi and phone going in to the house at end of November 2014 due to popular demand.!
Unfortunately no radio reception available downstairs due to the geography of the Noss mayo valley.
