“Forget service...unpleasant”
Reviewed 6 July 2014

From the time we arrived no smiles from anyone so dont expect friendly service except Sahan...he was fabulous and delivered a bottle of wine to our room that seemed to be forgotten as part of our booking with a huge smile. The young man in the bar with nothing to do (sun night) could have come over and taken our food order but just gave me the look when i asked if service existed in Mornington Peninsular. I doubt i will ever return.

My wife and I enjoyed a night and wonderful evening meal in the restaurant. The room was quiet and very well appointed and if you are a golfer all rooms look over the course and towards the ocean. When we had car trouble when about to check out, the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We will be back. Very close to Peninsula Springs resort too.

We stayed overnight. Staff were great. Kitchen was well equipped if you wanted to bring food.

Cleaning was second rate. Black hairs on the tiles in the shower, windows need a clean. General patching and painting needed throughout. We couldn't turn aircon off and it was making bizzare sounds. No foxtel (still in the room book)
The noise from rain hitting the unprotected aluminum window frames to the bedroom sounded like aluminium foil being crunched all night. Never heard anything like it. So we didn't get much sleep.

Would suggest staying anywhere from Blairgowrie/Rye as it's not far from the Springs.

Room suggestion - 2nd level rooms

Stayed 4 nights for my birthday week at this resort. The accommodation is in a beautiful location right next to the golf course. We used their banquet room to celebrate my surprise 40th birthday party with family & close friends. Service was great and rooms were clean and a good size, overlooking the golf course. My 2 children (6 y.o and 1 1/2 y.o) enjoyed the pool & the putting green everyday. Great location and place to stay. This was our second time to stay at this place.

Great location, beautiful resort layout, gorgeous big rooms with golf course views and lush green golf links.

We came here on a team retreat for work and although weren't golfers the surrounding wineries and beaches were superb.

We used the conference rooms and the organisation of the functions coordinator and catering staff were impeccable.

The onsite restaurant was pricey and limited in selection but the food was lovely. However, locally there are some amazing restaurants for other choice.

Great service and a wonderful choice of accommodation near the coast.

If you want to play a reasonable round of golf (as my friend did) and enjoy some Peninsula air, but are happy to jump in the car for the culinary delights of the Peninsula vineyards etc. then this is great. We found it fine - nothing special and not a "resort" in my view - we weren't particularly demanding as we had plenty of plans away from Moonah - the service is pleasant but really only skeleton staff when we went, so issues with WiFi went unaddressed.

Best place to stay!! I've stayed at Moonah Links a couple of times now and always request apartment 44 as it has been freshly renovated with new paint and carpet. It's also conveniently located on the ground floor and has a great view over the putting green. Fantastic attractions nearby including the hot springs, Sorrento shops, beaches and the wineries. A perfect place to stay for a perfect long weekend!

Room Tip: Book into Apartment 44!
