we were here for 3 nights in september. the breakfast is very good with all fresh products and homemade pie, bread, cake and jam! the views are as you expect them to be in italy.nice and quiet relax at the swimming pool. however, i think that the room lacks caracter, all furnitures from ikea, every room the same i presume. instead of a turismo rural it felt more as a centerparc.i can not comment about diner, as we didn't eat there in the evening.be warned, if you go there with a dog, you have to pay extra! overall, not a bad choice!

Okay, I'll start with the good things. The location is spectacular, with fairylike views over the rolling hills of Le Marche. The appartements are spacious and simply but tastefully furnished with an eye for the detail. The small kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy. There is a lovely salt water pool, which contains just a tiny bit of chlorine.
So much for the advantages. This place would have been perfect if it weren't for the owners, who are friendly but not at all hospitable, which is a significant difference. My husband and I stayed here for one week with our mentally handicapped daughter. As we cannot take our daughter out for dinner, we asked the owners if we could arrange something: if it would be possible to take away food from the restaurant or if they could bring it to our appartment, which was just a few steps from the restaurant. None of this was possible. They only made an exception for the first night because the dutch tourist agency made a reservation for dinner. This was never a problem at other agriturismo's in Italy.
When my daughter had an "accident" and her sheets and special sleeping bag had to be laundered, my husband got a lecture from Massimo, one of the owners: next time he should bring his own detergent.
At the end of the week Pascale, the other owner, told my husband she wants to make some adjustements in the future to make the place more suitable for family's with special needs children. I suggest that she and her husband first change their unhelpful and unwelcome attitude.

Massimo e Pascal are able to make you at home at any time you need.
Children are happy to safely run everywere in the park and jumping into the swimming pool all time.
View is superb and you may enjoy it during the dinner by testing their own made Lacrima and Verdicchio
Great.

Room Tip: superior with the Jacuzzi...

I spent 10 days in Tenuta San Marcello at the beginning of August.
The view, first of all, is exceptionnal ! the sunset, one of the most beautiful I have seen.
The rooms are spacious, the swimming pool (salty water) perfect to freshen up.
The atmosphere is ideal to relax and escape the stress of everyday life.
But most of all, the owners, Pascale and Massimo, are an unbelievable couple.
They love what they do passionately, they adapt to your needs, they like to share their passions with their guests - the diners around a large table with the guest who sign up for it are really privileged moments - and last but not least, the wine that Massimo produces (a special grape only grown in the area) is delicious and will no doubt keep getting better in the near future.
One advice only : go there soon, before we'll all need to reserve 2 years in advance !
Congratulations Pascale and Massimo, and thank you...

By Tenuta San Marcello everything is harmony. Starting from the hosts Pascale and Massimo, which will take care of you with warmth and discretion, and then the wonderful location with a 360 degrees view over the Marche’s countryside, and the tastefully decorated rooms, and the rich and healthy breakfast, and the beautiful swimming pool, and the silence around. You just don’t want to leave. And, definitely you’ll want to come back.

We stayed for 2 weeks in Tenuta San Marcello and loved it. It felt like home away from home, but then with a stunning view of the rolling hillside of le Marche and of Belvedere Ostrense. The appartment was tastefully decorated, the bedroom was large, even large enough for an extra bed for our 3 year old son. The bathroom is very nicely done, it is not a big space but big enough (nice washbasin, toilet and bidet) and it has to be said: the shower is spacious. The kitchen / living space was good, everything you need (there is however no dishwasher, but we didn't miss it). With a 3 year old kid, in the evening (as it gets a bit cold outside in autumn) we kind of missed not having any televisionstations other than the italian ones, but that was sorted by the owners Pascalle & Massimo: we were given a portable dvd-player. It is a great place to come with kids: there are swings and a slide for children and even an indoor playing room (which for us was one of the main reasons to come here). They have a small dog and 4 cats and a pool with a stunning view (we enjoyed swimming there, although the last time, the water was only 20 degrees: in october it can get a bit too cold for swimming!). There even is a washing machine you can use (which for us was handy as we travel only with handluggage). The last day was our son's 4th birthday and when we asked were we could buy a nice cake, Pascalle offered to bake something herself which was not only very kind but also very tasty! All in all we truly enjoyed our stay, le Marche is a beautiful province (a bit like Tuscany with rolling hills) and there are lots of stunning towns and villages to be visited like Loreto, Ancona, Staffolo, Cingoli, Belvedere Ostrense, Morro d'Alba, etc. (We even made it to Assisi, which is a 2 hours drive from the Tenuta). Visiting Mt. Conero and the park and beaches was a highlight too. We would love to come back one day!
