My partner and i was up in inverness for 4 nights staying in a lodge beside monlochy. On the last night we decided to we would try a local restaurant rather than travel into inverness. I looked on here before going so knew it had been refurbished. I had cullen skink for starter and it was lovely, full of flavour, my partner had the prawns with sweet chilli he enjoyed very much. We both had the beef burger with pulled pork, bacon, cheese, chips and onion rings, this was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and presentation was excellent, probably one of the best meals we have had to eat out in a very long time, all in which was reasonably priced. The layout and atmosphere was nice, very attentive, friendly staff. Quite busy for a Thursday evening however service was unremarkable. If ever up in the area again will definitely be back!

Booked the table for 8pm last Friday. Taken straight away to our table for two in a quiet corner where a very friendly waitress promptly took our orders.A very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We had cullen skink and the scallops for starters served with the nicest bread ever!!(baked on the premises) followed by venison burger and the surf and turf for main.Presentation, taste and portion were bang on!! What a great meal at a sensible price. A good choice of wines were available too. we`ll be back very soon. SUPERB.

We ate in the Allangrange Arms for the first time last night and the evening was excellent. Upon arrival the atmosphere was welcoming with great music giving a warm feeling pub which complimented the food well. The menu was extensive and I would eat the majority of the meals on it. After a difficult choice I went for the Thai Pork Burger with crispy noodles, the dish sounded interesting with the various flavours and turned out to be one of the best meals I have ever had. If you're hungry this is the meal for you as it had to be brought out on its own due to the sheer size. My girlfriend and her mother had the Scallop and King Prawn Linguine which they both said was delicious and the chef didn't scimp on the scallops.

To end the evening we shared a Caramel Cheesecake and Sticky Toffee Pudding which sealed our decision to return to the restaurant soon with the rest of the family.

The service throughout the evening was fas and friendly with the inn being especially accommodating for a wheelchair user.

Yes the allangrange is now a far more comfortable place to be and the staff are friendly enough. On our visit this evening (sat) we arrived at 5.30 to avoid any rush. To be honest the menu is ok but might benefit from a couple more pub type meals on offer rather than burgers and the sirloin steak which was cooked to perfection but lacks salad etc making it a slightly bland meal. But overall I enjoyed the steak and hubby enjoyed the burger. The starter ribs were ok but we're not served with a side plate or extra napkins which we had to reuse for our mail meal - the staff are mostly young girls who although lovely and friendly lack finesse and the professional approach of waitressing. Hubby ordered the Queen of puddings which appeared to get lost between the kitchen and our table and didn't arrive after 30 mins patiently waiting. In the end we decided to leave and the staff had no idea where or what had happened to the desert order. Not the best experience we've ever had. It seems that the staff are over stretched the manager Daryl appears to be running around being a jack of all trades with little chance to keep his finger on the pulse as to what is actually going on for customers and service alike. Whilst the informal atmosphere is great for a village pub the lack of professionalism isn't and if a smaller establishment like the club okie can get it right someone needs to re-evaluate the situation at the Allangrange. Would not be in a hurry to return.

Couldn't fault a single thing about this establishment. Food was fantastic, cosy homely atmosphere with a rustic country twist. Very impressed and will return with friends.
