“John the Guide is utterly brilliant- this walk is a great experience!”

The walk is extremely informative and alive, describing the constantly evolving York. It is truly a special experience to have the erudite John, from the Library of York next to Yorkminster, as a guide. His wit, intelligence and charisma made this walk really shine. The 2 hours were utterly absorbing and rich with priceless information and a truly rare gem of a Guide. I went with my boyfriend and everyone from all ages thoroughly loved this walk. John is a great mind and if only there were more Johns in the world...

This is a brilliant tour of York, my Partner did the Ghost Walk and came back full of the information, he said the guide was very knowledgeable, he thoroughly enjoyed it, he said the York Wall at night looked very spooky, and gave the tales of the local ghosts an even scarier feel, he said it was well worth the trip to York just for the Ghost Walk, and would recommend it to anyone able bodied to do the walk, shame I couldn't go with him, but I cant walk that far, or stand for too long, so he did it for both of us.

This was a great way to start a trip and gave a much needed sense of bearings.
Very informative historically and gave us a head start in deciding which of the many attractions we really wanted to explore further.

York is one of the most historic place with lots of great places to visit and great places to eat. Bettys tea rooms are a most if you dont mind queing, and the Punch bowl is a great pub for food or just a good real ale.
