We ate there on a Friday night, close to the chimney with fire.
It's a small and cosy pub. Staff was nice.
Beer and food was good, even if a bit long to be served, but worth it.

This is a fab little pub with excellent food, Open fire, very cosy, everything freshly cooked to order. Triple cooked chips not what I expected in such a small place, really good and just what was needed, also a good selection of excellent puds. Very helpful staff.

There is a good choice of food on the menu with much supplied from local sources. Our dinners were cooked to perfection and were a good sized portion so you would not go hungry. Good selection of beers and wines too
Lovely log fire burning in the winter and friendly bar staff definitely somewhere I would be back to on the next visit and would recommend to friends

Good range of main courses. Snacks at the bar are good value.
Friendly bar staff and landlady. We use the pub regularly with friends for lunch and have never been disappointed.

We really enjoyed the old-fashioned charm of this pub as well as the tasty food. Ate there several times.
Right across from our B&B.
