“Lovely House & Garden”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Found this place by accident and we were glad we stopped. The house is well worth a look round and the garden is really nice.
The best bit of the house is the most amazing collection of dolls house rooms, the quality and workmanship is astounding and when you read that every instrument in the music room actually works it is quite amazing.
Definitely worth stopping and visiting.

smaller stately house, but very interesting. lots of rooms to view, guide volunteer staff very helpful. Food always good at National Trust. Small gardens but they were packing in the entertainment on the lawn for the kids etc - well done

“a gem of a house”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

didn't know too much about Nunnington before we visited, but what a beautiful house.set in lovely countryside with the river coursing through the grounds. The house has many various rooms from different periods. The 'little rooms' exhibition was brilliant.A selection of mainly eigth scale room displays consisting of superb craftsmanship.would certainly visit here again.

“Interesting property disappointed by hard sell”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

The property itself was interesting if a little dark. The highlight being the miniatures on the top floor that were exquisite.

On queuing to get it we were stood for many minutes whilst the man from the NT gave an extremely hard sell to a young couple to join NT. It was obvious they were not interested and even after paying for their days entry were further pressured into joining. All this while the queue continued to grow.

“A house and a garden you'd love to live in”
Reviewed 29 July 2014

I've visited a lot of National Trust properties and this is the one I'm always comfortable to see again. You can imagine living here (I actually know someone who grew up here until the family left in 1978) and the gardens, whilst immaculately tended, are solely intended for your enjoyment.

This is where I always take Americans who unanimously love it.

Oh, and a cream tea is compulsory, as is a Poohstick or two.
