“Fine old Park a legacy to the folk of Middlesbrough”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

I have visited this beautiful old Park from being a child the park was left to the people of Teesside by the fathers of the steel industry. The big house is long gone but the old German styled barn and outbuildings remain now a cafe. Captain Cook museum is worth a visit for tales of worldy navigation.

My grandchildren love this park, it has great adventure playground, animals and good cafe. Museum will be great for them when they are little older. Plenty of space to run around and play games.

this is en excellent place to visit no matter your age, there is a museum animals which the kids love so take some carrots with you, loads of playing areas and some ponds but keep an eye on the little ones.
Free parking and dog friendly, there is even a dog walking enclosure so your dog can do their doodles and they even provide the doggie bags and bins.

“Hidden gem”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

This park has been a favourite with Teesiders for many years and has a nice museum dedicated to captain James Cook which might appeal to Australian and New Zealand visitors.
Great park for walking, jogging, cycling or pushing a pram and a nice farm animal enclosure and several nice lakes for the toddlers to feed the ducks.
