Took the grandchildren aged 6 and 1, play area more suitable for the eldest not much for the younger one. Lovely café area eat in or out. Picnic tables available throughout the park.

“Lovely park and museum”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014

Great play park suitable for all ages.
The captain cook museum is really good and well worth a visit.
Plenty of picnic benches and benches, and loads of space for the children to burn off energy!

“A WONDERFUL PLACE TO VISIT, BE IT YOUNG OR OLD”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014

Stewart Park covers about 120 acres of mature woodland on the southern side and open parkland on the northern side. Two lakes provide home for wide-ranging bird life. It also has an extensive pet’s corner, a children’s play area, mini golf, and tree trails. Furthermore, the park houses the ‘Captain Cook Museum’ (the site of the cottage where Captain James Cook was born). I've visited the park many times over the years and have to say it has retained all its natural charm and beauty. It really is a wonderful place to visit, be it young or old.
