We haven't been to this pub for a while so only recently heard about the refurbishment and decided to have a pre-dinner drink. My husband is a big Sam Smiths fan :-). What a lovely, friendly welcome as soon as we approached the bar! The landlord/landlady certainly know how to make customers feel at home. The refurb is amazing. We sat by the new fireplace and sat watching the beautiful white horses in the stables across the beer garden. So lovely. The pub is spotlessly clean. The menu looks fab and is well priced making family dining affordable - so we will be returning next week with the family :-). I'd highly recommend this pub to anyone and wish the landlords every success. They deserve to do well.

Visited the famous Angel and White horse after the long refurb and to meet the much spoken about Irish landlords. I must say we had a pleasurable day. The bar with its 2 restaurant areas looks absolutely fabulous. The landlords are warm and welcoming and made us feel at home instantly. We called in for 1 or 2 drinks but decided to stay for a meal and it wast delicious and well priced! Overall the Angel is worth the visit with its horse stables overlooking the beer garden and we would encourage anyone to call in if they happen to be in Tadcaster. Thank you for a great day David and Eileen the new landlords of the Angel and White Horse. And best of luck for the future!
