Stayed one night last night. USD25 for a bungalow without aircon or fan. Pricey but supply and demand I suppose. Whilst waiting for my room to be made up I had a couple of beers watching the sea and on the next table an american backpacker was cutting his toenails on the table. Beach was nice so went for a couple of swims. Had a snooze in the early evening and woke up in rivers of sweat. Mosied down to the reception area around 9.30pm in order to use the wifi before the electricity cuts out at 10.30pm. A podgy western man with grey hair in his mid 50s to 60s was sitting down playing on his laptop.i think he worked there as one of the staff later said to him "bye bye papa". Anyway I walked in and said "hello" and he just stared at me like I was a piece of dirt. I found out he's a native english speaker. Didn't eat here so can't comment on the food, but female staff generally unsmiling. Oh, and four treehouses were robbed that night. Wouldn't bother with this resort but there again I wouldn't bother with ko rong in general.

For 25 dollars you get a small and dingy bungalow, a mosquito net full of big holes, water that smells and tastes of sewage and fairly poor service. I would certainly not recommend this place. You will get a lot more for your money elsewhere on the island.

The experience of staying in a treehouse is fun but that's where the pleasure ends. The structures are starting to fall into disrepair with screws coming loose and splintered wood. Our mosquito net was splattered with someone else's dried blood, probably as a result of loose screws or splintered wood. And the cushions on the chairs outside were filthy and smelly. Shame that it's not better maintained because the views and the sunrises are delightful.
