We were here in July 2013 and absolutely loved it. After the 5 hour boat ride from the dock in Sianoukville (and a few failed attempts at finding the right place to meet the boat driver), you find yourself in paradise. It was unlike anything we've ever done before and it was perfect. It is not built up, there is no running water or electricity (but for some solar power) or paved trails. We didn't wear shoes the whole trip and we hid our watches so we could truly immerse ourselves in what Lonely Beach had to offer.
Dani was a laid-back, generous host who took us on a long hike through the jungle, as well as walked us across the island to meet a boat back to the mainland after our four days. We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the beach and the grounds. Even the basic menu was appreciated because it eliminated another decision one normally has to make multiple times a day: what to eat.
We experienced some stunning thunderstorms and crystal clear days in warm sea water. I cannot overstate how intimate and peaceful the setting is. Dani has created a true escape to paradise which I highly recommend.
