A house located in a wonderful area, surrounded by vineyards. Jean and Regine are remarkable hosts and make you feel at home. The location is quiet and relaxing. Rooms are spacious and decorated with taste. Breakfast is excellent, we had the chance of sitting on the terrace facing the vineyards and the lovely little village of Leynes. The wine Jean produces is of amazing quality, rich and delicate. Overall our stay has been a true blessing.

We booked the Domaine as a stop on our way from Paris to Provence. Luckily, we decided to stay for two nights instead of one. What a surprisingly wonderful experience! We stopped in Vezelay for lunch and were a bit late arriving. Jean was still very gracious in his welcome. The entrance to the house is so grand and the rooms are large and spacious. The breakfasts are personal and delightful. Fresh fruit, home made jams and excellent breads. Regine is so efficient and warm and the service is wonderful. We bought some of Jean's wine to enjoy while we were there and it is of excellent quality. The house is much more grand than it appears in the photos. Truly an adventure!
A couple of points: when booking for two couples, be aware that the bathroom is shared between two rooms and has a tub and just a hand shower. Also, try to arrange a wine tasting as the wines are delicious.
Thank you for your excellent hospitality Jean and Regine.

Domaine Rijckaert is a beautiful place to stay if you are in the Burgundy or Beaujolais region. The setting is lovely and the rooms are gorgeous. The Rijckaerts have sensibly stayed away from ruining their beautiful rooms with modern facilities and the rooms benefit greatly as a result by being unspoilt. The house is at the southernmost tip of the Burgundy and at the northern end of the Beaujolais so a good place for day trips to both wine growing areas. The hosts are very welcoming and make a fine breakfast. Jean is primarily a winemaker, and a very accomplished one at that, and makes the most wonderful white Burgundy - but he should perhaps let his lovely wife Regine run the chambres d’hotes side of their business as he seemed a bit stressed at times by our large group (with children) staying in his house. This place is best suited to couples looking for a romantic weekend but can accommodate larger groups. Also has a lovely pool.

My husband and I with our two children (ages 7 & 9) stayed here for four nights at the beginning of July. Jean and Regine were extremely friendly and helpful and their home is beautiful. We stayed in two rooms that were connected. The rooms were very large and had amazing views of the rolling hills and vineyards. Breakfast was served each morning and was delicious and filling. The yard/grounds/terrace were fabulous. They were so lovely that one night we decided to pick up dinner and eat it there. Each night Jean and Regine helped suggest restaurants and make resrevations. They were always offering wine or anything that would make our stay more comfortable.

We were 6 adults and we stayed for 5 nights and we wanted to stay there forever.
The rooms are spacious, the countryside is amazing. Jean and his wife are wonderful hosts, Breakfast is much more then enough. Jean took us to the wine celler under the house for wine tasting, gave us recomendations for reataurants and gave us unbrellas when it was raining. We miss him already

Jean Rijckaert and his wife Regine have done a marvelous remodeling of an old farmhouse in the picturesque village of Laynes. Modern mixes with country French elegantly and the result is charming and comfortable. Close by is the town of Julienas where at a table suggested by Jean we had a very good local meal with a bottle of local wine that paired perfectly. The next morning breakfast was served in the dining room with picture windows overlooking the vineyards. A stunning view. Jean and Regine being winemakers of some renown, after breakfast we had the good fortune to sample several of their wines brought from the barrel rooms adjacent to the house. Needless to say we bought a few bottles. Upon leaving I thought to myself I could spend a lot more time here. I hope I will.

We booked this Chambre d'Hotes very quickly via internet 2 days before arriving and we have to say that this has been really a lucky choice.
The house is 2 century old, 3 floors, looking the vineyards and the hills of the region.
Our room was very big (I think about 30 Square meters), with faboulus furniture. We had a fireplace in the room. The atmosphere very romantic.
The bathroom quite big and very well furnitured.
The hosts has been very kind and helped us with all our request.
As they are wine producers we could make wine tasting, taking with them about the wines, flavours and so on.
In the morning we had breakfast on the terrace, looking at the vineyards. A very peaceful experience. The breakfast was really good, coffee, croissant, bread, homemade jam, fresh fruites and yogurt, orange juice....you could not ask something more,

At the end, we have been very happy of this experience because of the location, of the room, of the guests and of the breakfast and we would definitely come here again should we go to Burgundy again.
