Daisy Cottage Campsite & Retreat
Reviewed 24 August 2013

I stayed at Daisy Cottage for four days with a big group of women's cricketers, in Jersey for a tournament. The guys in charge did everything to make us feel welcome. The yurts were great and comfortable. Good food at the cafe (and good wifi!), and everyone was fun, and very helpful. Good option for 'glamping' in the yurts or for more regular camping too.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Daisy Cottage! We couldn't have asked for anything more, the staff went all out to make sure we had everything we needed. Nothing was too much trouble. Wifi in the cafe, outdoor pool, lovely play area for the little ones, great food and a very relaxed setting. The yurts are beautifully decorated and you can see that real love has gone into creating this site. We definitely hope to return!

We stayed for a week in a 7M yurt and had a fantastic experience. The North West of Jersey is fabulous and the site is a 2 minute drive or short walk from Greve de Lecq and the breathtaking Plemont beach. The yurts are kooky and comfortable and the facilities clean and well maintained. What really makes this place is the people who run it. Michelle is just the most authentic, warm, laid-back and hilarious hostess and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The food is consistently excellent and well priced. Definitely going back for more! Oh, and you MUST have a massage - none better.

Stayed in our own tent brought over on ferry. Campsite run by lovely family, all keen to make everyone happy. They've clearly spent a lot of time and energy getting the place up to scratch for their first season. 14yo daughter happy to be allowed to spend hours in the cafe, with free WiFi and a socket for her iPod! Pool cold, but with the weather at 32C that was a relief. Excellent facilities - good showers with lots of hot water, kept nice and clean too. Everyone on site seemed relaxed. Enjoyed watching the robins feeding their babies and solitary bees nesting in the ground. Nice to feel at one with nature, such a change from our normal day-to-day lives! Recommended and thanks to Michelle and Les, and Ben and Caroline - well done!

Just got home from spending a wonderful summer vacation at DCC. The owners were so friendly and just couldn't do more for you. Nothing was too much of a problem for them and the place felt so relaxed. Lovely hot water on demands, impeccably clean and a shop for our daily essentials. Perfectly situated for getting to the beach and all the other places we wished to visit during our stay. There is a cafe/restaurant onsite but unfortunately we didn't get chance to frequent it but it did seem popular. We would have stayed longer had we not a ferry booked. We are already looking at another stay next year but this time an extended one where the DH will just have to commute at weekends! I was even given some freshly dug jersey royals by a neighbouring farmer in the field next door to our tent!
Just brilliant, cannot praise it enough.

My family and i stayed in a 9m Yurt and it provided everything needed for a weeks camping, (minus the TV) which is a reason for getting away. The Yurts have comfortable beds, wardrobe and adequate seating, along with a wood burner and kettle. They are family orientated and very homely. Daisy Cottage is family run and it provides just the right warm welcoming atmosphere, we spent a week and wanted for nothing, the children loved the site and Michelle & Les have done wonders to restore the area into a beautiful place to relax. All facilities are adequate and clean and the Cafe offers a good menu of choice with delicious food & cakes, (highly recommend the therapy treatment available). The beautiful beaches are within walking distance and other attractions are nearby with a straight run to St Hellier.
Michelle & Les have done a great job setting up the site in such a short time, obviously teething problems are to be expected therefore an element of understanding is required from all who stay at such a beautiful place. We highly recommend Daisy Cottage and will certainly return again. Thank you all for everything.

My wife, baby daughter and I stayed in a 7m yurt - these are big, fun, homely tents without the hassel of bringing your own. The little wood fire kept us warm at night in the very comfortable beds. The yurt has a sort of adult Glastonbury feel about it! We had a wonderful warm welcome from Michelle and Les - nothing was too much trouble
The showers are great - hot and clean. The full English (or is it Jersey?!) breakfast was spot on.
This little gem is resurrected like Lazarus from the ashes!

Room Tip: go for a yurt!
