I first heard about zest tours when I moved to Wellington 4 years ago, and have been keen to try them out. I've only hesitated as I wasn't sure if I'd feel they were good value for money. I've since moved to Auckland and when a deal came up on GrabOne I thought it was the perfect time to try the tours out. Even though my partner and I have lived in Auckland for 2 years, we don't spend a lot of time in the city, so we thought it would be a great chance to discover some great places in the centre of Auckland.
Kerry was a fantastic guide and we were lucky to have gorgeous weather and the tour to ourselves. We had a wonderful morning walking around and tasting some of the delights Auckland has to offer. I was amazed at how different the city felt just by walking a few blocks off the main street. We started off with coffee and pastries at a great little cafe just off the main street (but you'd never know it was there without local knowledge!) then we had icecream, chocolates and a seafood platter with wine at the end.
It was such a great way to get to know the city that my partner and I are now looking up food tours for our next holiday overseas.
Overall, it probably is on the pricey side, but it makes a wonderful morning out with some great ideas of where to eat if you are going to be in Auckland for a couple of days. With the deal I got, I felt we had a fantastic experience at a good price, but for anyone new to the city, I would say it is well worth doing.
