Owner description: Here at The Jug we are very passionate about gin. We stock over 100 gins from the classic London Dry style to the weird and wacky ones where seaweed, or sacred hands are used to infuse amazing flavours into this diverse spirit. We have made some fabulous discoveries over the past 4 years and our selection has grown tremendously. From Rock Rose with Sea Buckthorn, to Edinburgh’s Rhubarb & Ginger, to a purple gin that is literally LIQUID Parma Violet, to another that changes colour! Stand out gins are Pink Pepper, Manchester Raspberry & Hedgerow. No gimmicks but pure quality, style and of course taste. We’d love to welcome you to our world of gin, tucked away in East Yorkshire. Not only do we have a dedicated Yorkshire gin shelf or two, but many things that are gin related. From mugs, to tea towels, bath bombs to lip balm, great bags and key rings. We can’t wait to see you. Come sit down and enjoy our cafe and let your taste buds enjoy themselves.

This venue was recommended in notes at our holiday home along with comments about the Bubwith to Market Weighton Railway Path. We had a very pleasant walk on the path followed by coffee and cake here. That was day one of our holiday. By the end of the fortnight we had visited on several more occasions taking up residence with our dogs on one of the outside tables. Thank you to all the staff for your prompt and courteous service.

looking for somewhere to get a sandwich for lunch before heading onward and what a surprise, its a tiny deli, selling cheeses, great selections of booze/spirits, cakes and small amounts of veg with a few tables to sit at. Where this place excels is they do customer service exceptionally well. I have an allium allergy and the lady serving me bent over backwards to help me and checked everything, and because anti pasti that came with the lunch was an issue I got extra crisps and huge chunks of brie in my sandwich. I've not had that level of service since I went to betty's as a treat some years ago. Well worth popping in, you'll be glad you did.

We wanted to use our local deli to cater for our wedding. We sat down and describe everything we wanted. The food was absolutely incredible and went down an absolute storm with all the guests.
Always nice to deal with local people and an absolute result when it was a belter.
Thank you
