Big props to Holiday Inn Express for making our brief stays more than we expected. We used the hotel as our Stay, Park n' Fly, bound for Puerto Vallarta. Both times the hotel impressed us with quick check-in (reservations) and comfortable sleeps.

The airport shuttle starts after 4am and has pickups every 15 minutes. Prompt service and hassle free. The snack breakfast of coffee, fruit, cereal and toast was a big plus for an early morning trip to YVR.

It was handy having WiFi, too.

We picked this hotel as it was close to the airport for an overnight stay. The shuttle was on time to and from the airport. The room was very comfortable and an excellent breakfast was provided within the very reasonable cost. The staff were very friendly and i would stay here again.

We were flying home for a family emergency. We were looking for a hotel for overnight, close to transport and with a free airport shuttle as we were arriving late. In our special requests we specifically mentioned our plane would not land until approx. midnight. The hotel advertises a 24 hour free airport shuttle but this is NOT the case. The shuttle stops at 12 midnight and recommences at 4AM. The desk clerk agreed the ad is misleading. They did pay for a taxi but lining up for the taxi etc just added to an already stressful and very long day. It should be noted the Holiday Inn Express Riverport is cheaper and does offer a 24hour free shuttle, far better value for the money!

Helen O,

Thank you for choosing our hotel for your recent vacation parking requirements and for taking the time to detail you recent stay with our hotel. I must apologize the airport transportation our hotel offers was not articulated to your clearly or the information on our website was misleading. We do provide 24 hour airport transportation, which includes the hotel assuming the cost of a taxi between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 4;15 a.m. We will review the content of our website and look for an opportunity to clarify this concern. The Holiday Inn Express Riverport, although similar in product and packages offered to our guests, are situated 14km (9 miles) from the Vancouver airport which may affect their pricing. The entire team and I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel and appreciate your feedback.

I stayed here as the first night of my U.S. trip as my flight left early in the morning. The room was quite nice, the beds were very comfortable, lots of places to plug my computers and phones in to charge and the wifi was very reliable. I like it here and the shuttle service to the airport is quite regular. I also like the fact that the hotel is right beside a cool Mini Cooper dealership. I happen to drive one, so that's why that was cool for me. I would stay her again for sure.

The nice little touches at this hotel raise it beyond the run-of-the-mill, no frills airport hotel. The friendliness and courtesy of the front desk staff make up for the rather bare bones ambiance of the reception area. The rooms are a good size, and the large shower head with settings ranging from rainfall to pulsing massage really washes away travel aches. The bedding has a higher thread count that many a budget hotel, and I really liked that the abundant pillows were labelled "Hard" and "Soft" :-) The room had an opening window, as well as a silent heating system, and although the noise from the Costco parking lot is too much during the day, the moist, cedar-scented air coming from outside was delightful at night. The fresh-made pancakes oozing out of a new gizmo was a breakfast first for me, and very tasty. The buffet offers lots of other healthy and not-so healthy choices for those who don't like pancakes, and I was impressed by the Organic Fair Trade coffee. The location is close to public transit -- walking distance to the Canada Line Bridgeport station and on the direct bus route to the Ikea store. The only real downside of this place that no restaurants are obviously within walking distance. The Best Western Abercorn across the street, though, does have a passable dining room with good take-out-service. You could also pick up snacks at the Husky convenience store about a block away (If there are restaurants close by, that would be helpful information for the hotel to include in its Guest Info package.)

Room Tip: All the rooms face away from the noisiest streets, and are well soundproofed.

We stayed here overnight on our way to Maui. The shuttle service was very fast and prompt; we didn't wait more than 10 minutes to be picked up, then dropped us off right in front of our airlines' kiosks in the morning. Love the hot breakfast - there was a large selection of food, and was just what we needed for a long flight. The room was very quiet, the beds were super comfortable, and the pillow selection is awesome. Exceptional value for the price.

My husband and I stayed at the Holiday Inn on Bridgeport Road, Richmond BC in November 2013 and again in December 2013. This is has always been our hotel of choice whenever we are flying in or out of Vancouver.

The service we received on both these recent stays was exceptional. In November, when we checked in we were told that we had been upgraded to a suite. To our amazement we were upgraded to the Malaspina Suite! What a luxury--jacuzzi tub, fireplace, full kitchen--king bed. In other words the works! In December we arrived at the hotel at 1:00 a.m., well after all restaurants within walking distance were closed. We muttered to ourselves that we'd have to wait for breakfast to satisfy our hunger. No sooner had the words left our mouth than Leon, one of the Front Desk Clerks, whisked away and returned with muffins, fruit, hardboiled eggs, hot chocolate packets, and cookies. We couldn't believe that such exceptional service existed! We just can't say enough about this hotel. We'll obviously be back!

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter.
