Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport

I recently stayed at this hotel with my mother, who was making a short stopover in Vancouver. The price is really reasonable for 3 nights, and there's a discount if you pay in advance. We liked how the hotel is close to Aberdeen and the sky train station. Friendly check-in staff who took the initiative to move me to the 3rd floor once I expressed my concerns about the ongoing renovation. The room is clean, and I really enjoyed the bed-which you can adjust for the level of comfort (soft/hard)! The negative that I have about this stay is that the bathroom initially had a funky smell when we first entered the room, but the smell went away over time, Their airport shuttle service is great- they leave the hotel every half and hour and the driver is extremely friendly--he would say hello to you and give you suggestions on places to visit in Vancouver!

Thank you for taking the time to write and for your 4 star review! We are happy to read you enjoyed your stay and how our location and staff were perfect for your needs. The renovations we are doing are an addition of 15 rooms to the top of the hotel, and the work is confined to day time hours. We hope to see these new rooms open for occupancy in the spring.

Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to welcoming you back to the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport on a future visit.

Sincerely,
Garrett Ralston

My daughter and I recently stayed at this hotel to facilitate a outgoing flight from the nearby Vancouver International Airport. The hotel is not as nice as it's pictures indicate. Our room was dated, the beds were not all that comfortable and our room smelled like mothballs. The front desk staff were fairly friendly though the concierge couldn't be bothered to look up whenever we passed. The tile around the pool was very dirty and scummy looking.
The hotel is located across the street from the sky train and close to the Richmond Mall and Vancouver Intl. Airport. Parking was free.

Room Tip: We asked for a room that was not beside the sky train for quietness.

Thank you for your comments here on Trip Advisor and for taking the time to write. We appreciate your information as it will assist us on where we can make improvements. On one note, the tiles in the pool area are older tiles and it does receive a daily cleaning. Thank you for staying with us and we look forward to having the opportunity to welcome you back to the Radisson Hotel Vancouver Airport so we can exceed your expectations.

My wife and 1 year old stayed for 3 days after Christmas. The accommodations are family friendly and the hotel is connected to several Chinese grocery shops and restaurants which we appreciated since we enjoy Chinese food and Richmond has such a great selection. The hotel is clean and the rooms are pretty spacious with a mini-fridge and coffee maker and sink area which we made good use for heating up water and cleaning baby bottles. The bed was comfortable and we got a room overlooking the street which was nice. My wife took our 1 year to the pool and they enjoyed it. Staff were helpful and friendly. The restaurant was a bit too salty for most of the food we tried during happy hour there but otherwise we had a positive experience there and will stay there again in the future. There is a discount if you charge the food to your room. The restaurant offers breakfast buffet for 14.99 and occasional dinner buffets (prime rib) for 19.99 but we didn't try either since the food you can get at the restaurants and shops surrounding the hotel are better value and quality. My wife had attended a Chinese wedding at this hotel once before and we walked past another one on the second floor while heading to the bridge connecting the hotel to the small Chinese mall. It seems to be a popular place to have a wedding as well.

Nice hotel, clean and central. Lots of asian restaurants close by. Shuttle to airport anytime. light breakfast in lobby. Excellent staff, helpful and happy. Canada line stops right in front of hotel, great if you want to get into Vancouver quickly and cheaply, $10 (buy at 7-11) gets you a day pass for all transit, bus, seabus and canada line so can get anywhere! Would stay here again and recommend

Room Tip: ask for room away from Canada Line as can be loud at night and early morning.

Pretty decent hotel with free airport shuttle.
The hotel has a nice gym with well-maintained equipment. Pool is also clean.

Hotel is next to Yaohan, where good Chinese food and grocery shopping can be found. You might say it is somewhat like in the heart of Chinatown.

As a club Carlson Elite member I visit many Radisson locations worldwide. This was my first visit to this one and I found it to be excellent in all areas. See my observations of key areas during our 3 day stay below:

Location - Less than 10 mins drive from YVR. Hotel is located in a busy business district directly across the street from a large shopping mall, Shopping and restaurants within easy walking distance, taxi service for locations further away available at the front desk. They also offer a free shuttle bus to and from the airport.

Services - The hotel has both a restaurant and a cocktail lounge on site, both were very good and the service is excellent.. The front desk staff were very friendly, ultra professional, and extremely helpful when needed.

Rooms - We were upgraded to a suite at check in due to my status with Club Carlson. The room was large, quiet, and very comfortable, housekeeping on our floor were very polite and possessed that " Stealth" quality that is found in all great hotels in that they seem to know right when you leave and are able to get in to do their thing and are out before you return.

Parking - This is the only area I had a slight issue with. The lot in front of the hotel is very small and fills up quickly. There is a parking garage that is attached to the hotel via a long walkway that you can park in for free however, it is rather inconvenient as it has no elevator and we were forced to lug our suit cases down a couple flights of stairs upon arrival. I would suggest unloading your luggage at the hotel first then parking the car afterwards if the main lot is full.

All in all and excellent stay, and highly recommended.

We stayed at this hotel two different times, the staff are professional and friendly, the restaurant is pricey but good food. Our accommodations were comfortable and fairly large. We were right in the middle of a heavily Asian population so was quite pleased to find a tucked away restaurant serving Teppanyaki style dining. Beautiful aquarium, just a great city.

Room Tip: Try to get up and off street side, can be noisy.
