I don't think I've ever stayed at a hotel with a friendlier, more hospitable staff. Everyone was enthusiastic and provided great customer service. They seemed genuinely happy to be there, and that positive attitude made our stay much more enjoyable.
The hotel seems to be an older property, but it is in very good condition. Getting into the parking garage was a bit of a challenge, but it felt safe and secure to park our rental car there. The lobby is clean and well lit, and the property is easy enough to navigate without getting lost. The elevators were in great working order, and the hallways were always clean and bright, with an easy to read numbering system.
Our room was on the small side, but very clean and comfortable. The bed and linens were quite satisfactory, and we always got a good night's sleep. A mini-fridge cooled our beverages sufficiently, and was located in a good place in the room. The flat screen TV worked well, but the wireless internet service occasionally faltered.
The bathroom was well lit, and the shampoo, soap, and towels were always of very good quality. The water pressure in the shower was good and the toilets always worked exactly as they were supposed to. My wife made use of the in-room hair dryer without any difficulty whatsoever.
We didn't make use of the pool and fitness center, but some of the other guests seemed to enjoy them. I did, however, spend quite a bit of time in the hot tub room on the roof of the building. I'm a professional musician and I needed to spend a lot of time practicing that week, so the hot tub room offered great acoustics and a wonderful view!
The only snag in our visit happened at the very last day. When we checked in, we were told by the front desk employee that local phone calls were free. However, when we got the bill upon checkout, I discovered that we had been charged $1.10 for each phone call. Obviously there was some misunderstanding, but management was kind enough to credit the charges after some discussion. It would have been nice, though, if there had been some written indication, either printed on the telephone itself or somewhere else in the room, that the hotel charges for phone calls. I probably would have called the front desk to verify before I ever made an outgoing call.
Overall, though, we had a very enjoyable time, and would definitely consider staying there again.
