The location is about 10 minutes drive from airport, we took the hotel free shuttle bus to & fro airport during our arrive & departure, which run every 30 minutes. For departure to airport, better pre-book your seat one day in advance, as the shuttle bus is quite small, and there are few hotels (maybe 3) sharing the same van. Our room was spacious & clean, which was at the corner. We met 3 receptionists, only 1 was not so attentive, 1 was extremely helpful. The hotel is near to Subway station. The complimentary breakfast is simple but good enough to start a day. The hotel do not has any facilities like swimming pool or whirlpool, which we like after a tiring day.

We recently stayed here on our way home from Europe and returning to Vancouver Island. We could have carried on to the island but staying here was a much better choice. There is a free shuttle that picks you up right outside and my husband said the bed was the most comfortable he had slept on in the 3 weeks we were away. It is a bit dated but very clean and even though you can see planes landing it is very quiet. The free breakfast is available from 5:30 and is very good. You can book your free shuttle back to airport from 4:30 on. The desk staff were pleasant and friendly. Would absolutely stay here again. It is one of the most reasonable places to stay close to airport .

I stayed at the Days Inn at Vancouver for 1 night in June before taking a flight the following day.

The hotel/room:
I stayed in room 302, which was reasonably priced, with a huge comfy queen bed, and in a quiet spot. The rooms are a little dated but the hotel isn't actually that old, so I assume they went for cheap and cheerful as opposed to modern, but it's clean and tidy. The room offered complimentary tea and coffee, mini bar (stock your own type), TV, Safe, lots of storage, toiletries (inc. shampoo, conditioner, sopas, lotion, make up remover wipe, hand smit/sponge) and the rate inc. breakfast. Breakfast was a pretty basic self service lay out, the options were limited but it was enough for a quick bite before going to the airport in the early hours. They serve from 5:30 so that's a bonus! The hotel also offers a free shuttle service to and from the airport - its a battered minibus which sits about 8 people but it does the job! Free Wi-Fi also included.

One note: my room (302) had a sticky door. i left the room to pop out for dinner and didnt hear the usual click, when I checked the handle (luckily) the door hadnt locked behind me. i had to open the door, put the key in and out, then shut it behind me. A little worrying but something I mentioned to reception so hopefully will no longer be an issue.

Customer Service:
Good, friendly service. No complaints.

Location:
Like all airport locations it is a bit industrial but across the road there is a food market, burger king and starbucks for a quick bite if needed. There's also a little japanese take out place on the corner which the reception recommended for authentic japanese cuisine if that's your thing.
