We have started and ended many overseas trips at the Delta Airport. The Bon Voyage package always works well for us as we get a good break on parking but, just as importantly, are able to leave our car for 5 weeks. We love the convenience of the airport shuttle and the willingness of hotel staff to help us out in any way possible. The room is always excellent and often we are offered an upgrade for very little money. We enjoy the pub for dinner and the dining room for breakfast. The first reservation we make for any big trip is at the Delta Airport!

Room Tip: We've never had a bad room!

Our annual trips away from Vancouver Island always seem to work out well when we begin and end with a stay at this hotel. We appreciate the spacious parking area which enables us to safely and conveniently leave our car during our holiday time. There are often reasonable price deals for the average rooms which tend to be small but very comfortable. We generally use Bon Voyage and B.C. resident prices when booking but do watch for online deals. Pier 73 restaurant is a pleasant location for lunch or dinner and the staff very friendly. The hotel breakfast buffet is higher priced than fast food locations but feels good when you are on holiday.
We have always found the staff to be considerate of our needs and eager to create a friendly atmosphere. Perhaps if we were constantly staying in hotels we would notice negatives but for us this Delta Hotel has always provided great service.

Stayed here the night for the early-morning flight. Checking was fast and efficient. Rooms were clean, if not a little small. Beds are extremely comfortable. Amenities fine. There is an attached restaurant that far exceeded expectations for an airport hotel. The pill services were excellent. The airport shuttle was timely and helpful. Overall an excellent place to stay and to begin your journey!

Stayed at this property for a conference. The hotel is a 5 minute drive to Vancouver Int; Airport (YVR). The building looks nice from the outside. However, the inside looks worn out and tired. The hotel is a 3 star property in my books. I paid CDN $185 a night for a room on the executive floor facing the water. This is quite pricey compared to the star classification of the hotel and its location.

The room was ok, nothing to write home about. The room was clean and had everything that you would expect a hotel to have (iron board, hair dryer). There was turn down service every evening with cheap chocolates left in the room. I got access to the "Executive Lounge", which had free juices and sodas throughout the day. They did serve continental breakfast in the morning (very basic). In the evening they had small snacks which were monitored by the lady looking after the area, I personally did not like the fact that the lounge was being policed by the lady as it made me uncomfortable. She would watch everything you eat and drink. You have to pay extra for any alcoholic beverages. The whole point of lounges is that such things should be on the house. What is the point of having a lounge only to police it and then charge the guests for drinks. The lady was a nice lady but the whole concept is ridiculous. I have tried lounges in many hotels and they do not have a person watching over small cheap snacks.

In the morning I had difficulty sleeping from the cleaning crew in the hallway and guests going back and forth to the lounge.

The outdoor parking at this hotel is absurd (CDN 12 a night). Why one has to pay for parking in an area that is in the middle of no where beats me. Maybe they are afraid of people who 'park and fly'.

The breakfast hall downstairs is based on a menu, not buffet. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel called "Pier 73". The food and service was decent at the restaurant which has a nice view of the inlet around the hotel.

Room Tip: Unless you are forced to stay at this hotel as I was, you can get a better hotel for close to $200 a...

Good Day AfshinM,

Thank you very much for taking the time to send us your feedback.

I can assure you that there are always things we can do better, and we do realize that. Some items are not up to us such as serving alcohol without it being monitored in an open lounge.

Please connect with me directly as I would be happy to review some of the highs and lows of your stay and open the dialogue to ensure we are able to turn that experience around.

Looking forward to speaking with you.

Warmest,

Kelvin Monteiro

I used to be a Platinum Gold Member (25+ nights) but have not stayed at this property for a year and have noticed a great decline in service. This hotel used to be compared with Fairmont but not anymore. Perhaps Motel Six???? Check in at 10:15 PM, January 12, 2014, checked out on the 13th at 11:30 AM.

Checking in, the guest next to me (who had never stayed there) was offered no information about the hotel and needed to keep asking questions. The desk clerks were not interesting in “Romancing” the hotel and were quite indifferent and uncaring as to his needs.

The guest next to me, at check-out, mentioned that his sleep was disturbed by the garbage pickup. The indifferent response was “That’s too bad”. I was also never asked about my stay. The desk clerks could not have cared less.

The room service attendant and luggage men were great. Delta used to have a climate or culture of positively interacting with customers and all staff were passionate about service….. Not anymore. Delta also used to have an efficient on-line feedback form… but now it is just an empty space to put comments. I also noticed a great reduction in room amenities. Coffee maker replaced so you can only make two cups and that’s it. Minimal bathroom supplies.

During that week I also stayed at with Holiday Inn, Hilton, and Best Western. What a positive difference from my stay at Delta Vancouver Airport.

There is really nothing to recommend this hotel when there are so many other great choices around the airport.

Room Tip: stay somewhere else!

For the second time, we recently took advantage of the 'Bon Voyage Stopover' package. This is a great location if you're looking for a place to park your vehicle near Vancouver Airport. The rooms are clean, beds comfortable, and the hotel restaurant, Pier 73, serves a good selection of dining choices.

We recently stayed at the Delta Vancouver Airport because we were flying out early the next morning. When we booked the room we also added the breakfast to the reservation. When we arrived there were a few people in line so a took a while to check in, parking was additional $15 and allowed you to park in the parking lot out front (the airport shuttle was free). The room was nice it overlooked the water, what was not nice was that there was a strong wind and the window did not seal well, which made it cool. At breakfast we showed our waiter our coupon and he told us we could order anything that was $17 or less, otherwise we had to make up the difference. That left us with the two eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, coffee, juice.
It's a nice place though I think I might shop around before staying there again.

Good morning Opusjo,

Thank you so much for your feedback. Without hearing from our guests we would not be able to consistently grow and improve as a team.

I would be happy to review our breakfast add on option, along with the condition of your room with you so we can come to a better understanding and rectify your concerns.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Best Regards,
