This hotel, and it's sister in Whistler set a VERY HIGH bar for customer service. The hotels are both beautiful, and the staff friendly and helpful. But they actually worked together to ensure that my husband and I were accommodated when they noticed that there was a problem with our travel plans. If there is a Delta hotel available, I would always choose them.

We stayed here overnight for the convenience of picking up our rental car the next day at the airport and it being handy to start the journey to the ferry terminal over to Vancouver Island.

Good place for an overnighter, room was nice and clean, and it was handy to be able to eat at Pier 73 restaurant. Buffet style breakfast with plenty of options. Complimentary shuttle to and from the airport was a bonus.

Only issue was we paid for both rooms by cash on arrival but never got a receipt for the payment, and then received an invoice under the door which said we had a balance to pay. My wife queried it on checking out, but the guy on reception who had checked us in wasn't in and the manager needed to discuss with him (relayed via another member of staff on reception). My wife was assured by the reception that someone would telephone her to let us know that all was ok, she took her mobile number, but did not receive a call! Unfortunately she ended up having to telephone the hotel a couple of days later to make sure it was sorted.

Quick (complimentary) shuttle to the airport, but the hotel is right on the river, beautiful views! Full restaurant, complimentary wifi, great rooms, comfortable beds. Walk across the bridge for other restaurant options (Boathouse seafood, and an Italian option with huge portions). Changing to the Pacific Gateway Hotel in November. Evidently same staff and management.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a river view!

Stayed here for one night as we were catching an early flight home. Checkin and checkout was very quick. Room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable. We didn't get a chance to use the shuttle as we had just missed it each time and didn't want to wait. A cab ride was $10.

LIKES
- close to Richmond. Could walk to Richmond Night Mkt in 25 mins
- Clean modern rooms (quartz countertops and nice showerheads)
- comfy king size bed
- fridge inside room
- good soundproof glass windows as u cannot hear the planes flying into yvr

DISLIKES
- asked for a crib for our 1 yr old. We got a playpen instead and the "mattress" was two bedsheets. I requested a few more bedsheets and im glad i brought my own cribsheets. The playpen looked old. I wiped it down a few times with antibacterial wipes

- the $17 parking charge for rental car per day
