During our holiday to Vancouver we stayed at the Pinnacle for 2 nights and WOW! We had a harbour view room which was out of this world. It was a little pricey but kind of what you would expect for such a beautiful view! The room was immaculate and spacious and the bed was huge : ) Very nicely decorated and awesome balcony over looking Van but very noisy workmen right outside. The swimming pool and spa was lovely but when we went to use the pool it was full of kids having a swimming lesson!!! This was a pretty annoying as there was only 1 lane we could use - not exactly what we had in mind!! We were also disappointed that breakfast was not included in the price as we paid nearly $600 for 2 nights! (in england this would be complimentary) and also in the room was a bottle of water and some snacks with a menu card stating that the bottle of water was $5 and that the snacks were between $5-6 each! Considering the price we thought this should have been free but apart from that we loved everything else. Great service and nice staff.

We recently stayed at the Pinnacle Hotel while attending our niece's wedding. The hotel room was a good size, new, clean and the bed was very comfortable. We would certainly recommend the hotel for stays in Vancouver. Although it's across the harbour from downtown, the ferry terminal is steps from the hotel.

Room Tip: Harbour view rooms are a bit more expensive but do have balcony with table and chairs. If you'r...

Top class room and service, modern deco, comfy beds. walking distance to Peir 7 and Lonsdale Quay and Market. Beautiful scenary of downtown Van from window if you are on harbour side. If you are on the mountain side, then the noise from the traffic might be a bit annoying. $200+/night, add$30 for a harbour view

I never received a newspaper the 2 nights I stayed. I had to wait from 2:00 PM til 3:40 for my room to be made up so I went to the coffee shop to wait and was charged $4.15 for my coffee. When I mentioned this to the desk at my departure I was told "You're lucky you didn't order room service - it would have been $15.00". I decided then I wouldn't stay there again unless my company had another function.
Also the food in the restaurant was poorly prepared - my poached eggs tasted strongly of vinegar and the potatoes were too salty to eat.

HOTEL-We decided on the Pinnacle based on reviews and recommendations from friends who visited and suggested that staying in North Vancouver would be a great money saver. We have not been disappointed at all. The reception staff members were very pleasant, the decor very contemporary, the rooms very modern and clean and extremely quiet.
STAFF- The staff exceeded our expectation when we arrived by sending us a welcome gift of chocolate covered strawberries 20 minutes after we settled into our room. This was our 10th wedding anniversary and I vaguely remember talking, mentioning or indicating that when I booked the hotel but didn't expect them to consider it important. They did and we were impressed.
VIEW- On the debate about mountain versus waterfront view, we suggest if you get a waterfront ask for one as high up and on the western end of the hotel. Ours was on the 6th floor directly behind a big yellow crane that obstructed our view of downtown:(
COMFORT- The hallways walls are lined with leather and dark wood and carpet was well maintained and spotless. My wife is extremely picky when staying in hotels and this one made her feel right at home, as witnessed by our not doing anything on our second day here but sleep-in and grab a great pizza ( Boston Pizza recommended by staff) for dinner. Although the hotel is located adjacent to a working and active shipping dock we were never disturbed by any excessive noise, even though they were actively dismantling a ship hull just out side our window. The movie selection was great but are a bit expensive.
AMENITIES- The pool, weight room and spa are all well-maintained an clean. We also took advantage of the free bike rental and to bike around Stanley Park. It was quite easy to take the bikes on the Seabus and then explore downtown.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the western most side for the best view of downtown Vancouver.

Stayed from 9th to 14th June . Stayed with friends and we both had harbour view rooms. Rooms were very clean, extremely comfortable bed. Fridge and microwave in room which was a bonus. Great coffee machine believe it was American make very nice. The balcony had great view over Lonsdale quay and hotel was a 5 minute walk to the seabus which took us to downtown Vancouver in 12 mins. The rooms had rooms looking over downtown Vancouver on opposite side of bay beautiful when lit at night. Ate in restaurant one night. Great food had steaks and salads good value too. Great stay thanks ! Also forgot to say we arrived 8hours late at 2am in the morning due to flight delays from Toronto and were greeted as though it was afternoon very pleasant and chatty.

Room Tip: Get harbour view rooms.
