No,we didn't, but we saw people who were going up to do just that!
Our stop here was part of our tour this day and 'WOW', even though we aren't skiers. A gorgeous day of warm sun and views and yes snow too. About 4mtrs in some area along the road to see the Bear Habitat. Missed the bears but saw gorgeous Barn Owl. Stunning visit, and so close to the city not enough time really to see all we wanted to, as part of day tour. Would love to have spent more time here.

Thank Ruth W

OMG, my above title says it all.The finest view of Vancouver, the british columbia university, the stanley park, the mount backer in far far distance and blue shinnning turcoise waters of the pacific ocean, fill as much as you can in your memories.THE Beauty of the this place is you are there in your office and at 6.30 p.m.you want to go for skiing, no problem , you take your car and with the help of the gondola, which takes you to the height of 4500 ft. within seconds you arrive at the two skiing cuts of the grouse mountain within 60 minutes, and you are ready to ski ! the sking facilities remain open up to 10.30 p.m. and there are beautiful restaurants near the skiing cuts and you can have food of your choice. And by 10.30 p.m. you are at your home, well what more a human being can ask for in this material world !

The Grind is not for everyone. It is a challenging hike and according to the website, it will take the average user about 1.5 hrs to complete it. However, if you are active and relatively fit, you can definitely do it under an hour. Come prepared to sweat and have a great workout. As such, avoid what some of the tourists typically do and DO NOT wear heels. It's a mountain and you will be climbing it, sometime using your hands and feet. But once you get to the top, the hard work will all be worth it. Be forewarned that Grinders are there to do a serious workout. For them, it's all about improving their time, they are not there to necessarily enjoy the scenery.

As an alternative, you can go to the side of the Grind and the path is less steep but will take a little longer. The nice part about it is that there are less people and it is more of an enjoyable hike.

An exhilarating ride up the mountain in a cable car takes you to the top of the mountain where you will experience outstanding views of Vancouver. The day was very sunny & hot & we had a clear view of the whole area. The snow on the mountain was thawing quite rapidly & the grizzly bears had just come out of hibernation. The restaurant offers good quality food at reasonable prices.

Took the sky tram (cable car) to the top of Grouse Mountain. Was a bit busy because it was the last skying day of the season. Saw two movies about the mountain and learned about the two rescued bears Grinder and Koola and their owl Tito. Then as we walked around the top of the mountain, we got to see both bears who had just come out of hybernation and were playing with each other. It was enchanting. We also met the rescued owl Tito and his handler. Later saw a timber wolf at the base of the mountain. It was a great experience.
