Don't let the purple & pink exterior fool you. This indie motel is really not too shabby. The rooms and bathrooms are large. Well equipped with fridge, microwave, well-working Wi Fi and generous breakfast. It's conveniently located in a decent neighborhood, a hop, skip and a jump from Vancouver from the Lionsgate Briidge and just down the street from the Campalino suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain. Great value for money.

Dear June,

Thank you for your kind review. We are loving the ‘indie’ label! We like to set ourselves apart from other hotels in downtown. Here at North Vancouver Hotel, we provide a comfortable stay, offering affordable pricing, while still remaining within a central location. We hope that you will come back to your favourite ‘indie’ hotel again!

Sincerely,

We stayed at this hotel seven nights and one issue we had was the toilet; it plugged up twice during our stay. The second time management offered us a different room but it was the night before we checked out so we opted not to take the offer. The room was cleaned everyday and there was coffee and a little fridge too. We didn't get to try the breakfast because of our wake up time. The hotel is conveniently located near Lions Gate bridge with easy access to downtown and Stanley Park. There are also many businesses and restaurants nearby along Marine Drive. TransCanada highways is also closeby. Don't expect a fancy hotel or motel. But we didn't have issues sleeping there and its relatively quiet at night.

Perfect hotel to visit any area of Vancouver. the only bummer is traffic over the Lions Gate Bridge...it can be a little slow but if you are a patient person this Is the place to stay. Clean and comfortable rooms, and breakfast is great...lots of variety. Rates are reasonable for staying near a big city.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. You can explore Vancouver from this location without paying double the price to be in the downtown area, yet you can be downtown in 15 minutes. Parking is free.
The north shore has lovely shopping areas and lots of outdoor hiking or biking trails.
The breakfast which is included is quite adequate...coffee, eggs sausages, sweets and juices.
The room has a small fridge, a coffee maker and wifi.
Of course you won't be in the room much because you have Vancouver, one of the most beautiful places in the world, to explore!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room in the back.

Dear Guest (Joyan_10),

Thank you for taking the time to write this review! Vancouver is indeed a beautiful city, and we are glad that you found your stay with us to your liking. Many of our guests actually prefer to come and stay on the North Shore as opposed to Downtown because of its quieter locale, while still remaining while in the centre. We hope that your trip here was worth the while.

Sincerely,

Steven

Booked this hotel before leaving the UK as it was conveniently located. It's pretty standard fare but the guy on front desk deserves a mention for his helpful service and local knowledge.

The room was fine, clean and no odd odours. Unfortunately our next door neighbour was a fellow Englishman who played music so loudly he couldn't hear his phone ringing or me banging on his door but eventually we sorted it out.

Breakfast was the usual complimentary continental style and set us up for the day.

All in all I would happily stay there again but hopefully not next to a music loving scouser.

The north vancouver hotel is more a motel than a hotel. The rooms are smaller than you would expect for a hotel. Otherwise the rooms are fully equipped with all necessities. It is however conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with access to the city of Vancouver and recreation areas such as Cypress Mountain. The hotel is also located on the access road to Whistler mountain. After all, a perfect place allowing you to combine city and mountain experience.

Be aware, the bridges to Vancouver are frequently congested.
