My three friends and I stayed two nights at the Resort and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room on the third floor was lovely with a high ceiling and comfortable furnishings with everything we needed. We had a lovely balcony with a view of the lake (however the air conditioning unit was below us and did make a fairly loud bang when it fired up!) Saw a lovely eagle and osprey from our deck too! The facility's pool area was very attractive and comfortable; adjacent to that area were beautifully clean barbecues and utensils available which we used. We could have stayed and eaten at the tables by the pool but chose instead to go back to our room. We had bikes which we locked to a rack in the parking lot which was very convenient. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking the pool area would allow looking out at the facility (we overlooked the neighbour's yard and air conditioning machines) however if it was busy it could also be very noisy. Our room was very quiet apart from the occasional time when the AC went on (outside) but it didn't keep us awake.

The two of us had stayed here several years ago. At the time we had a lake view room and both the view and the room were spectacular. The supper served in the restaurant was also excellent. All in all,we looked forward to coming back

Unfortunately the return visit was not as enjoyable.

When we booked we asked for a lake view room but none were available so we opted for the alternative of a mountain view room. Turned out it was really a 'reception drive way view' room. Yes they do have some nice mountain view rooms but when you book ask a few questions.

We only ate one meal (supper) in the restaurant. Both of us only had appetizers and a glass of wine. My wife's appetizer was excellent. mine was a disappointing caesar salad in name only. This appetizer was HUGE - so much so that even as a main course it would have been large. Would have preferred something tastier and smaller. On the flip side service was excellent and friendly.

As noted by others no breakfast is served. On a Sunday AM, given they do have a full kitchen, we found this a bit odd. Maybe this reflected the time of year of our visit (early June).

On a positive note, if you are traveling with children etc. the resort provides BBQs near the pool & restaurant area so you can cook your own suppers (and presumably lunches as well). The rooms all seem to have small kitchens (cook top, sink and fridge)

Also positive the room was clean and well appointed

Came away thinking that this is a better family resort then a couples resort.

Room Tip: Preference would be for a lake view room. If you can't get or don't want a lake view the option is a mountain view BUT ask for a room away from the reception drive way. Exhaust from idling cars is pretty annoying

Thank you for your review. I am sorry you were disappointed with your last stay. The resort is built in a "horseshoe" shape with the "U" opening out to the lake and the pool in the courtyard. The lake view suites are the suites that look out onto the pool deck and beach or have a direct lake view. The mountain view suites are the suites on the outside "horseshoe" and some of them have decent lake views of the shoreline to the north and south of the resort. Only the suites at the very back of the building (where Lakeshore Drive and the entrance of the resort are) do not have any view of the lake and do have panoramic view of Anarchist Mountain to the east of the Town.
We can only guarantee the room type and not the room location in order to deal with efficient filling of the hotel in peak demand times and managing our individual suite owner's reservations. We do take the requests and take them seriously as we want to ensure everyone gets what they want but we have to be realistic in that circumstances can come up that would prevent us from renting an exact room number so we cannot guarantee room number.
I will take up the meal service issues you had with our F&B team and ensure the portion sizes are reasonable. Thank you for your insite.

The need some room service. There is no breakfast at the hotel! Coffee in room, but no breakfast available at all. The restaurant does not open until 11am. Crazy considering they are full.

Also, we arrives at 8:30pm and thought the restaurant was open until 9pm, we were told we could not order. So no breakfast or later dinner. Sigh...

On the bright side, the pool area and guest rooms (lake view) are fantastic. Just bring snacks :)

Thank you for your review and I am sorry you did not get to experience our wine bar dining. We have never provided breakfast at the resort. With all the suites having kitchens and the low turn out we have experienced in trying to offer breakfast when we started out, we decided to cut that meal from what we provide at the resort. As staffing is an huge challenge in this seasonal resort municipality, to offer all three meal periods daily would require almost double the staff required to prepare and serve. Instead, we have a convenience market at our front desk with breakfast foods and condiments to purchase for making your own breakfast and we have a continental breakfast for two that can be ordered a day in advance. We only open our restaurant for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week from mid June to mid September and the rest of the year only 5 days a week for dinners Tuesday to Saturday. We have to be creative and strategic in our F&B planning so as it does not cost the resort to have the amenity and service and this has been the best way we can operate within those parameters. Sometimes there is going to be some guests that won't get the service they were expecting given our situation.

Glad to still have 2 more nights at this awesome resort. Our room is nicely decorated and very clean. We have a big patio right off the pool with great views of the mountains and lake. Check in was fast and friendly and they even got us in early which is always much appreciated. The previous review said the grill master had a huge ego. Not sure I agree, I talked with the guy for quite a while and I would say I could care less about his ego as he is Master Chef on the grill and preparing entrees. I just finished off a perfect 10 cheese burger. The glorious burger stood 7 inches tall. I will post a photo of it when I get home. For certain one of the best burgers I have ever had. My wife had pulled pork and the tortilla was freshly made the pork was smoked perfectly. But the side of potato salad was fantastic, and I really don't normally care for potato salad. Although I am thoroughly stuffed right now after just finishing a phenomenal lunch I am going back for dinner for certain.

Room Tip: Lower level is nice by the pool giving you easy access to the beach and pool through your patio

WOW! That's what we said as we opened the door to our room at Walnut Beach when we arrived. The room was spotless and had every amenity we could ever need. And we had a wonderful view of the mountains and the lake! This would be a great place to stay for a week or longer because the rooms have a full kitchen and laundry. The beach is right at your doorstep and you are a short drive away from the many great wineries and restaurants Osoyoos has to offer. Oh, and did I mention the free underground parking? We had very mixed experiences at the front desk - from friendly and helpful to aloof and unattentive which is why I scored them lower for service. However, I wouldn't let that stop you from booking here - it is a fabulous place to stay and we will definitely return!

Room Tip: Whether you select a mountain or lake view you won't be disappointed! Our room was at the end of the hall which we found to be wonderfully quiet!
