A very unusual natural phenomenon. The time of day and weather will be a big factor in how spectacular the lake looks when you stop. There is a gated road entrance on the south side of the highway 8 km ( 5 miles) west of the Osoyoos visitor centre. If you are heading east, you will see the lake before you get to the gated road. There is a better viewing spot about 100 meters (yards) east of the gated road. There is an unmarked dirt road going off the highway (dangerous to turn in if there is traffic). It goes a short distance to a viewpoint. Perhaps this is where the Indian band whose land the lake is on plans to put up an information sign ( which would be very helpful)
