“Grungy motel hell”

Filthy rooms! Absolutely disgusting. The sheets were stained, the shower was brown with grunge, and the toilet had yellow and brown stains as well. The bathroom also had dozens of flies (which left fly poop all over), as well as some unrecognizable bugs! The entire room also smelled like a giant porta-potty, and was about 50 degrees. Would not wish this room/motel on my worst enemy!!!

Basic room, dogs welcome. Off-leash dog park less than 5 minutes away. A/C not the best but cooled the bedroom. Good if you just need a place to sleep. Kitchenette incl fridge, stove, microwave. Owner/manager very friendly and helpful. Nice property next to highway. Bbqs available for guests. Free wifi worked well. Not a great channel selection on TV but who needs it on vacation? Basic cleanliness... Some grit and sand but again, it is to be expected on vacation. This is NOT a 5-star luxury hotel. Really good basic accommodation at reasonable rates even during height of tourist season. I would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: #11 pets welcome on booking

Booking at the last minute we managed to secure a room on the long weekend as I was there to look at properties to buy. I was leary after reading other reviews what we were going to get. The owner is very warm and friendly.
Its a Motel so dont expect glitter and rose petals in your room. The room is old.. but they appear to be updating gradually which is very much needed. The shower head is entertaining as you have to squat down to get your hair wet.. im 5"5 so you can visualize the hilarity in that the shower height is ridiculously low.
The kitchen didn't have a spatula.. so trying to fry an egg with a slotted spoon was entertaining. As well there was nothing to light the burner with.. good thing I smoke :)
Bring your own towels for showering as the towels are small and cheap and leave bits of fabric on you.. not a fan.
But the beds are comfy and the price is right for what you get, specially visitors with Dogs. The location is good to the main area of town, but not in the busy busy.. you could easily walk 15 min to main street instead of driving as sometimes parking in peak season is difficult. Wifi is great and parking in front of your room.
I think ....if the owner would take advice, this Motel would surely generate alot of return visitors and would get stellar reviews.
There is definete potential in this quaint Motel to be better then the 80's :)

Called ahead on the recomendation of my son, asked for two nites, gave credit card info, was told $115, drove 800 kilometres to find out it was $115 per nite. I was shocked, like an idiot I handed over the extra money, he had my credit card info already. Air conditioner couldn't keep the room cool, room was clean but was like stepping back into 1967. Extremely far from a $115 room. This is $65 room. Returned home, emailed the owner with my concerns. Initially the owner offered a $40 refund but then reneged. Last Labor Day weekend we stayed on the beach for $65, sadly couldn't remember the motel name. I made a point of writing it down for next year. You've been warned!

Room Tip: Stay near the beach for less money.

Stayed here for two nights and found it to be a clean, we'll maintained property. It is a quaint little motel with nice hanging baskets outside each room. Free parking and free wifi that worked well. Bathroom not the greatest, and the bath towels slightly bigger than a facecloth---we had our own towels so used those instead. Location is a bit off the main strip, but we were able to walk to the lake in about 15 minutes. Overall a pretty nice, friendly place, and I would definitely go back.

July 1st 2013 we stayed here. We never stay at the money grab motels. We look for economy and a bed. The Boundary Motel is a good choice while in Osooyoos. Nice, clean, and quiet. A/C works well. Good amenities.

My husband and I stayed here for one-night on our way from Nelson to Vancouver. We booked the one-room suite after finding a great deal on-line. Having the seperate bedroom is nice as you can close the door which drowns out some of the Hwy noise from the front of the motel (although the noise was very minimal at night). The suite itself was fairly big with a kitchette (table, chairs, fridge, stove, microwave) and a living room with area with a good size flat screen TV. The motel is located within quick driving distance to "downtown" Osoyoos. You could walk it too, in about 20-30 minutes. We chatted a bit with the guests in the room next to us who have stayed at the Boundary every time they have come to Osoyoos over the last 15-20 years. I take that as a sign of a decent place to stay. We would return if we're every in Osoyoos again. Seems like it's also a favourite of those on road trips, as we saw a few people turn in when they saw the vacancy sign. As long as you're prepared for a no-frills accomodation choice, it's a safe, reliable, clean and quiet place in Osoyoos.

Room Tip: One-room suites are nice for the additional space
