Osoyoos lake is so warm and clear, and where we stopped, barely past the bridge, has such a gradual entry it's perfect for young ones. Parking and access was super easy, we had a grassy shady spot with soft sand nearby for the kids and it was really perfect for a quick stop on our way through town.

The lake is fairly warm. It's definitely not bath water though. We access it from n'k'mip campground. The beaches near that area are not that great. Rocks, seaweed, sometimes even beer cans and just a general lack of actual sandy beach area. Make sure to bring water shoes because it's very hard to walk on the rocks. The water feels pretty clean and can be clear when there aren't to many boats riding nearby. There are several places to rent equipment such as kayaks, inflatables, waverunners, and bloats, which means there are hours of fun to be had. The waves can get kind of big from the boats so I'd suggest keeping life jackets on the little ones. This lake feels great on those hot hot hot Osoyoos days.

We went to the beach less traveled at the end of town by the boat launch. Beautiful lawn to picnik. Family oriented. The sand is more like River rock so a little hard on the feet. No crowds so you can enjoy the water.

I achieved my goal of jumping in 4 Southern BC lakes this summer! Osoyoos Lake surpassed my expectations! Beautiful lake surrounded by the desert... worth the drive from Kelowna!

Warm, clean and big enough to make a whole day of boating, tubing or just floating! We love this lake and we love Osoyoos!
