Owner description: Created to capture the vision of la dolce vita - paying homage to the Italian ways - LaStella boldly stepped into the spotlight in 2006. Just as a symphony has its tempo, so do the musically inspired LaStella wines: Leggiero, Vivace, Allegretto, Fortissimo, and Maestoso. Situated by Osoyoos Lake in the South Okanagan Valley, at the northernmost tip of the Sonoran desert, LaStella's commitment to winemaking excellence is its driving force. Low input viticulture and non-interventionist winemaking philosophy is what has lead to their rise and sought-after following. Their award-winning wines are available nationwide and internationally at select culinary hot spots, gastronomical institutions and fine wine merchants. A symphony for the senses. We invite you to visit us, our Tasting Room hours are as follows: Nov 1 - March 15: By Appointment only. March 16 - May 15: 7 days a week 11am-5pm. May 16 - June 30: Sun-Wed 11am-5pm, Thurs-Sat 10:30am-6:30pm. July 1 - Sept 30: 7 days a week 10:30am-6:30pm. Oct 1 -Oct 31: 7 days a week 11am- 5pm.

“Great wine and cool building”
Reviewed 1 August 2013

We visited La Stella for a tasting. It is an Italian style winery and you almost feel like you are in an Italian villa for the tasting. The staff was very personable and knowledgeable about their wines. We really enjoyed all of their wines, especially the reds. There is a $5 tasting fee but it is waived if you buy any wine. We bought one bottle of Fortissimo (their merlot) the first day but had to go back to buy a couple more the next day. I would definitely recommend going if you are doing tastings near Osoyoos.

“Excellent Service, Ambiance and Great Wine”
Reviewed 22 July 2013

Stopped by late evening and there was only one other group there. The place is very warm and inviting and the host was extremely friendly and helpful. The wine sampling were good and we bought a few bottles even though we hadn't really intended to.

Love the smaller wineries

“A touch of grace and elegance.”
Reviewed 15 June 2013

This was a first-time visit for us. We arrived to find a very lovely property - outside 'and' inside - and when inside, the whole scene, including why we were there (which was to see, and possibly taste some of their wine offerings), had a nice touch of elegance about it.

What I tasted: 'Leggiero' (Chardonnay), 'Vivace' (Pinot Grigio), and 'Fortissimo' (a red blend).

The tastings were very enjoyable, the wines tasted all very fine - I particularly-enjoyed the Pinot Grigio and the red blend. But on a personal (and sad) note - I found them priced above my purchasing-price limits set for this trip.

It was a winery visit that will not be forgotten though ... and I give high-marks to the very gracious hosts, and the fine wines I was allowed to taste.

“Amazing tasting room”

This vineyard was absolutely stunning! The wine was pretty good itself. I found the wine a bit expensive, but it was really worth it and delicious.

Really enjoyed our visit here and the wine is excellent. Even got to taste some of the merlot grapes which were delicious. Would definitely recommend this estate.
