We enjoyed a late afternoon on the restaurant patio, with a view of that amazing lake, valley and sagelands just the day before big rains hit the area. This winery and resort, tribally owned, is impressive. Prices are really high and someone needs to share this: when guests are eating and drinking, it is NOT the time to use strong solvents to wipe nearby tables!! Definitely alters or obliterates the flavors, a shame when they cost so much!!
Kudos to the wine tasting hostess nearby, btw--she is awesome!

We arrived on Windy Saturday with a storm brewing - they were going to close but knew we came a long way and this was it - now or never as had further destinations to go to. The staff kindly sat us near the back - served us with nothing but smiles - and recommended off the menu. We ended up having a cheddar pate baguette and wine. We didn't get to more as the storm was coming - but - we did see some of the other patrons meals as they finished up and they looked yummy - ours was the best and most unique cheese spread. The wine was delicious too - and the view - windy or not - second to none. Recommend the trip.

We shared the charcuterie (food cost was perhaps 16%), and then had the tacos with braised wild boar, which were excellent.

The wine (Meritage 2009, a red blend) was very good. They didn't serve espresso, for that we "had to go to the market". Their coffee was of high quality, but it was inconvenient and unpleasant o leave the gorgeous patio for the hot (38C) cafeteria-style market.

Lunch for two was $110, including the espressos, pricey I thought. We ate dinner for two with drinks at ViJ's in Vancouver for a little less, a few days later.
