“dirty,unfriendly staff..”
Reviewed 31 July 2012

we checked in at around 9pm,tired and exhausted..as we walked down th hallway, everywhere was a total downfall.dirty hallways made me think of leaving the place.got the room swipe card from the front desk staff who never even greet and smiled.when we swiped the card to unlock the room,a dirty, stinky ,unprepared room greeted us! the front desk lady gave us a room which was not even cleaned, totally not ready for occupancy.that was so upsetting.she never apologized.anoher hotel guy instead ushered us to change a room..

We have discovered the computer error and have had our computer support make sure that any incorrect room status will not be an issue. The system crash had allowed incorrect status to default and had entered all rooms clean. We have this resolved and should have no further room status issues in the future. It is our policy to bring about a great stay experience to the clients that come to our property.

We stayed at this travelodge as we had a wedding to go. The Travelodge was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and were able provide information about taxis and local amenities.
We had breakfast in the Toby Carvery both mornings. It was reasonably priced however there were not many very healthy things on the menu. The cooked breakfast was ok, albeit a little greasy.

Spend the extra $20 bucks and stay at a nicer, cleaner hotel. The owners clearly do not care about the upkeep of this place. From the dirty, sticky floors/doors, smoky musty non smoking rooms, non-working tv, broken door lock, cob webs all over, and not to forget the moldy shower, this place is disgusting. We are usually people who read reviews and think that people are sometimes harsh about a hotel...Not in this case. We will not be staying in this hotel again.

We have taken steps to improve our guest quality for our rooms and service with an action plan by stepping up our room quality and cleaning and we are also having the interior and exterior cleaned and repaired on a regular maintenance shcedule. We have had our staff meeting and morning meetings to address or focus for each issue tor area o promote overall guest satisfaction. This has been implemented May 22 and we are proud to have many positive remarks from our clients since. I do apologize that the planning had not started earlier

I am not a well-heeled travel snob who stays in high class hotels. When I do stay at a hotel, it's an economy class place and all I ask for is a clean, safe place to get a night's rest. That being said, this place is an absolute dump
Owner clearly is not interested in keeping this place up, it is falling apart. Clueless gal at the front desk (I interrupted her Nintendo DS game) gave me swipe cards to a room that only locks with a key, I had to go back to get room changed (incidentally, that room with a key-only doorknob stays unlocked all the time...) Our room is old, dirty, and smelly. Smells musty and like old cigarette smoke (non-smoking room), spider webs with spiders in the corners of the room, door swipe card only works maybe one out of 20 times, leaving us wondering if we will be locked out of our rooms next time, attendant assures us they work just fine if you hold it right. Bathroom had bugs, large hole in tile where water leaks through, behind the wall, and out the side of the tub, ceiling has stains and mildew and a very rusty light fixture, sink taps leak lots of water from the knob, spilling water all over the counter. None of the phones in the hotel work, according to front desk staff. The single electrical outlet by the bed only works if you turn the wall switch on, which also controls the main light to the room; therefore you can't use that outlet to plug in an alarm clock, cell phone charger, or any other electrical device overnight unless you leave the lights in the room on. I climbed up on the counter and unscrewed the lights from the fixture so that we could plug in our cell phone and alarm clock overnight. The bathroom fan sounds like a jet airplane, which was a blessing because it drowns out the sound of the neighbors through the paper-thin walls. TV is missing buttons and remote control works 'sometimes', The entire premises is neglected, garbage and beer cans strewn about the parking lot and yard. No one bothers to mow the grass, the entire place is overgrown with weeds and thistles, very run-down. Pillows were very old, flat, and full of nothing but crushed pieces of foam. I did not try the pool as I don't trust the safety and cleanliness of it based on the rest of the hotel. Same goes for the "free breakfast". The only reason we chose this place was because they had a cheap deal on a group-buying website, and when I looked at the ratings on the Langley TravelLodge, I was apparently looking at the Langley City TravelLodge, which apparently rates much better. We showed up at 11:00 at night with a tired baby, and could not get a refund at this point. I would most definitely never stay here again, would caution anyone who is considering staying here to put out the extra 20 bucks and stay at one of the many nice hotels along this road. End of story.

Room Tip: Go to a different hotel!!!!

The rooms could use some maintenance, decor is dated, but it's clean, the beds are comfortable and the breakfast is good.(Muffins, cereal, bagels, fruit, juice and hot drinks). The kids loved the pool, it was as warm as a hot tub! A good choice if you are on a budget and just want a clean place to sleep.
