Great food, wonderful ambiance, love the penny candy selection usually only found in England. Prices a little high, but quality of food is terrific. A lovely spot for a cuppa.

unique tea house in a quaint vllage with an assortment of candy not found anywhere close by. Also great for a light lunch or late breakfast especially if you like scones(homemade daily) with Devonshire cream and jam. To die for. Did I forget to mention that the building dates back to 1912 and the owners have gone to great lengths keep it as original as possible

“A step back in time”
Reviewed 29 December 2011

The Clayburn Village was originally a factory town for a large brick factory. The factory was located just across the street from the row of brick houses. The biggest house was the factory superintendent. Next largest was the book keeper and then other managers. One small house was the Doctor. My Grandfather worked in the factory and my relatives lived in the village. Be sure to see the remaining country store and church.

“Store”

Really the only thing Clayburn has going for it is the wonderful village store and tea shop. Try the scones--you'll love Trish's fresh baking.
