“Outstanding in every way!”
Reviewed 15 July 2014

My family of 4 stayed for 5 nights recently at Blackstone Mountain Lodge. Our flight into Calgary was seriously delayed. We kept in contact with the lodge as to the delays. During one of those calls we asked if any upgrades were available. We had reserved a 1 bedroom suite but wanted to upgrade to a 2 bedroom. For a small fee ($50 a night) we were upgraded with no problems. We couldn't have been happier with the suite we got. Coming back to such a comfortable spacious suite every day made our trip wonderful! Having a full kitchen and washer/dryer in our room was awesome! You can't go wrong with this place! There is a cute breakfast place at one of their sister properties right around the corner. We ate there a couple of times. Having a full kitchen we ate a lot of meals in suite.

Room Tip: Ask for a end suite. You get 2 balconies. Street parking in front of the hotel is great. They do hav...

ElaineOrlando_FL., “Outstanding in every way!”, When available we always recommend upgrading to a larger suite as we have many different styles to offer. Our two bedroom suites are the perfect design to accommodate couples and families alike and as you mentioned, having a full kitchen is great for making meals during your stay which of course helps with the pocketbook. The "cute breakfast place" that you mentioned, is the Ridge Café which offers excellent options for Breakfast and Lunch, with perfect Espresso, Cappuccinos, and Lattes available also. Please let us know when you return to the Bow valley as we love having return guests. Thank you, Andrew S.

When our Canmore timeshare was closed due to a water issue, RCI arranged for us to stay for a week at the Blackstone in a lovely 1 BR full condo. The daily housekeeping was a nice addition to our usual experience at timeshares around the world...they even run the dishwasher for us. A very nice bonus is the hand wash car clean-up station in the free underground parking garage....after a 40 mile drive on gravel roads for a great hike, our car was covered in gray dust.
The hotel service is superb, the fitness center nicely appointed, and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. The many gas grills were busy every night with families having barbecue dinners at the provided tables. The only slight downside was road noise from the very nearby Canadian highway, but the counter benefit was a beautiful mountain view. On balance, I'll take the view.

SedonaVoyager, Thank you for the great review and for pointing out the many benefits of staying at the Blackstone Mountain Lodge to others. The social BBQ area is always great as it allows others to chat and show off their grilling techniques and recipes to our other guests. Please let us know when you are coming to the area again as we would love to have you with us one more time. Thank you, Andrew S.

Stayed here for the first with the family for one night. The front staff were very friendly and checking in was a breeze. We went with the 2-bedroom suite and WOW it was beautiful! Very spacious place with 3 TVs and 2 large bedrooms. The kitchen was a good size. The place was very clean and the pool was also great! Overall this place is awesome!!

We booked a one bedroom suite during the long weekend in July over Hotwire for about $140 (not including tax)...when we arrived the front desk staff were very pleasant, and upgraded us to a 2-bedroom suite facing the street to the south. We couldn't believe the size! The first room was the study (a bit of a waste of space, but room there for your sports equipment) with a hidden stackable washer/dryer in the closet beside. Laundry soap and fabric softener was provided (and the front desk offered us more at no extra charge). The large granite kitchen was well stocked with utensils & cookware, large peninsula to seat 4 (on leather bar stools), stainless steel appliances, and open to the dining/living area with fireplace, comfortable furniture, a deck with a small table and chairs as well as a view of the Three Sisters mountain. The two full bathrooms attached to the bright and comfortable bedrooms (one bathroom also adjoined to the living area) were stocked with good quality toiletries and the fluffiest towels. The master bedroom also had a deck off of it with a small table and 2 chairs--beautiful to enjoy a morning coffee or an evening sunset. Although there were only 2 of us, this would've been the perfect place for a family holiday. The pool and hot tub area isn't huge, but is nicely laid out, with numerous chairs as well as BBQ's for those family get togethers. We found the rooms and the hotel itself very clean and the staff friendly. It's in close proximity to downtown, trails, and the great outdoors. We also found the room quiet even though we were right next to the elevator and off the main street on the second floor. We definitely would recommend this place and would stay here again if the price was right.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that is not facing north, as those seemed to be facing the highway and may be loud. S...

Many people find various ways of booking online, but the best way is always to call us directly as we often have excellent offers for our preferred clients. This was my 3rd stay at Blackstone in 2014. My room was clean and comfortable with an awesome view of the mountains. The front desk staff are helpful and accomadating. The pool was busy but not over crowded. Close to downtown and biking trails, highly recommended to anyone considering Canmore as their mountain destination

Delmasboy87., Mother Nature made Canada Day beautiful this year with Bright Sunshine and Blue skies. Our Outdoor Pool was certainly a favorite for our guests such as yourselves that weekend. We continue to have beautiful weather this week and as you pointed out, there is so much to do in Canmore with Biking, Hiking, shopping, swimming, this list is virtually endless. Thank you for your continued support and business and we look forward to seeing you again. Thank you, Andrew S.

I had booked a room on-line for, which was to be a room with 2 queen size beds. In the comment sectioned I mentioned it was our Anniversary. We arrived at the Inn and we open the door to our room and it was a beautiful one bedroom suite, with a bottle of wine Congratulating us on our Anniversary Celebration. I even forgot to mention when arriving at the front desk we were wished a Happy Anniversary. The view from our room was beautiful. The staff were friendly and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful facility. I would recommend Blackstone Inn.

The room was quite nice but the walls were paper thin to the point that we could hear the people in the next room washing dishes. There was not enough hot water during peak times and we kept running out mid shower. For the price it was a very poor stay and we wouldn't recommend it.
