“Great quick stop with a toddler”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

Husband and toddler son are both poor sleepers who need comfort, darkness & silence to sleep well. so we are very cognizant of things like street noise, low-quality curtains, clean linens/good mattresses, neighbour noise, etc.

I picked this spot out very carefully and we made the right choice. beautiful spacious suites with every amenity we could possibly have needed. Husband raved unreservedly about the stay, slept extremely well.

Our son loved it. As far as I could see, there were no major hazards/childproofing issues in the suite. Clean, new pack-n-play provided as per booking request.

Check-in/out was as quick as it could possibly have been. Nice parking underground.

The services are basic - no room service, bellhops, etc. but the rooms themselves are quiet, extremely comfortable and well-appointed (not luxurious by Canadian standards, but very nice indeed), with well-equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. Staff are pleasant.

A+++, we will be back.

Room Tip: 107 is a quiet corner suite (2 beds) overlooking the street. Some AC noise from next property on bal...

You can't beat the value. Large two bedroom suite for the same cost as a hotel in Banff. The room was clean, the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. I had requested a good view and they gave us an excellent top floor room on the corner with a great view of the Three Sisters. The kids also enjoyed the swimming pool. Will definitely stay again.

We booked a 2 Suite Room. It was very clean and very quiet. There was a kitchen with dishes, pots, pans, utensils and there were 5 appliances for us to use. We were very pleased with the whole experience. All the staff we were in contact with from front desk to maintenance to cleaning staff were all very friendly and accommodating!

Room Tip: I recommend the one we described above

Melanie B., Thank you for your stay with us and for the positive review. I am pleased to see that all of the staff that you encountered were friendly and accommodating, as this is something we strive for with every customer. Your room tip will definitely help other future customers, and just to let you know that all of our suites are fully stocked just as the room that you had. We booked a room through Hotwire and a room was what we got: a smallish hotel room with no view in particular. That being said the room was clean and nicely furnished. It was quiet and the beds were comfortable.
The hotel is located at the top of a street that gets you away from the railroad tracks but close to the Trans Canada Highway. Our main floor room on the back side of the hotel faced toward the highway. I would recommend that you ask what direction you'll be facing when you book and request a room at the front side of the hotel particularly if you want an upper floor room.

There is no breakfast or lobby coffee supplied here but there is ice water.
Staff are pleasant and helpful but not overly knowledgeable.

At the back of the hotel are a pool and two hot tubs though only one was working when we were there. There is also a large BBQ area which we didn't use.

We felt that the hotel was a good value for what we paid and we enjoyed our two nights.

Room Tip: Contact the hotel directly in advance of booking to see about specials and rates.

My family of four stayed here for 3 nights and had a lovely stay. Our room was affordable, comfortable, quiet, and very clean, with modern furnishings and plush linens. Staff are helpful and willing to please. You are well away from the main road, so it is quiet and the Rockies are the first thing you see as you step out from the lobby. The grounds are immaculate, and free underground parking is a plus. Canmore is SO much more affordable than Banff, but only 15 minutes away should you want to take the Banff gondola, or do any of the hikes around Banff. We really liked shopping and eating in Canmore too - it was good to visit Banff yet come home to Canmore each evening to duck the crowds.

we shared this 2 bdrm condo with 6 girls for a stagette. It was perfect! It had everything we needed. We didn't use the pool or hot tub, but it looked very nice. Check in was easy and quick. There was lots of parking on the street and underground. We walked to the main street and it took less than15 minutes. Will be back!

If you read my reviews, I rarely post a negative one. Firstly, on check in, our room was not ready at 5:15pm after a long drive and I paid for 2 nights at this hotel a month in advance. We left and returned at 6pm and it was ready. They did upgrade us to a one bedroom suite free of charge and without being asked. The walls and carpets are not very clean. The room itself was clean- no issues and is quite nice. My main issue is with the front desk staff. On the Saturday morning, I was going for a walk and am not familiar with the area. I asked the man at the front desk a few questions and it was as if I was annoying him and he would like me to go away. He did not want to look up from the computer. Happened again a few hours later when my room key stopped working and I had to ask for another one and this was a different male desk clerk. As another poster mentioned, for some reason it is very hot in the lobbies and halls, we managed to dial down the air conditioning in the room. If you have windows open, there is a lot of highway noise. This is a bare bones hotel. It has a pool but reminds me of a bare bones ski lodge. Would never return there. I am trying to give them a break as it was a busy long weekend but it was a big disappointment for what we paid and we would not go back.
