A small company that offered us a great experience. loved being able to interact with the dogs. It was a beautiful day, although frigid temps, recommend good warm layers, especially feet and neck muff etc. Our <2year old went to sleep encased in her sleeping bag on the sled! Russ and JD looked after us well, and we enjoyed being able to pilot the sleds ourselves. Welcome hot chocolate at the end. The junction restaurant not open the day we visited.

If you love dogs and the outdoors, you've GOT to try this! Our guide was friendly and informative. The dogs were excited and obviously loved the activity. Dress warmly (in layers) and wear good winter boots. Also, a scarf/hat to protect your head... the wind on the lake was frigid.
The views were spectacular and the experience was awesome.

My boyfriend and I went dog sledding on valentines day with mad dogs and weren't sure what to expect but we're blown away. We paid $500 for two nights hotel at a 5 star hotel, dog sledding, and a sleigh ride. A great bang for our buck, worth every penny!
We met the driver at the junction house cafe in Canmore and enjoyed her friendly manner and great conversation all the way up to spray lakes. We then got to help prepare the dogs and get the sled set up and take turns driving and riding in the sled. The views were phenomenal, absolutely beautiful, hard to believe you are actually witnessing what you are! We thoroughly enjoyed it and got to stop for photo ops and to enjoy a hot chocolate afterwards. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating, and we had a very personable experience as we got to prepare the dogs for the dog sledding and then put all the gear away and help them load back up again afterwards. We were very very impressed and have recommended it to many and will be back again ourselves for sure!

My boyfriend and I were searching for a unique winter experience and dog sledding with Mad Dogs and Englishmen was a great choice. Our guide was helpful and knowledgeable, we both got a chance to stand up in back and sit in the sled in front. The dogs were strong and alert, really friendly. We would definitely recommend this kennel as a great introductory experience. It looks like they have a lot of other options for longer trips and skijoring as well.

Just come back from an awesome week of dog sledding, Definatley one of the best experiences you will ever have. If you are outgoing and adventurous and looking for something new to try I would recommend this. The guides are very professional, knowledgeable and will make the experience one you won't forget.
