“Vacation in the Canadian Rockies”

We loved the motel and the area and the town of Canmore. Lots of restaurant choices. The staff especially was very helpful especially Russell the night shift guy who helped me change some reservations and info about area as well as the young lady on morning shift and the gentlemen in the breakfast room. Good breakfast and rooms were very clean and large with a fireplace I woke the family with each morning. Thank all the staff and mgrs. for a great stay in Canadian Rockies. I will be back some day......

Room Tip: This is the nicest Econo Lodge I have ever stayed in and I have visited quite a few over the years...

I booked the Econo Lodge for one night based on the reviews I read on Trip Advisor. We needed a restful, clean place to sleep and preferred to have breakfast provided to get our start in the morning. The Econo Lodge delivered that for less than one hundred dollars so we were completely satisfied.
The exterior appearance is not appealing and the red rugs with the Econo Lodge logo in the entrance and front desk were dirty. It didn't make for an appealing first impression. There is no elevator which was not a problem for us, but could be for others. The stairway seemed rather dark. All king bed rooms are on the second floor. Our room had a patio door leading to a common balcony/walkway. We were not able to open the door, but had no real need to. The view was of an alleyway and the back of a residence. The bed, sheets, and pillows were very comfortable. Wifi in the room was excellent. There was a gas fireplace that we did not need. The bathroom was fairly newly renovated, large, and well lit with a whirlpool tub/shower.
Breakfast was the basic continental fair with breads and muffins, yogurt, boiled eggs, apples, oranges and beverages. Dishes provided are Styrofoam.
I would definitely stay here again. A clean bed and bathroom providing a comfortable, quiet night sleep and accompanying breakfast at an reasonable rate were our priorities and the Econo Lodge delivered.

Room Tip: All king bed rooms are on the second floor. There is no elevator.

We stayed two nights at the hotel in May. The rooms were clean and nice. The service was excellent. The location is near Banff. It is close to a supermarket. The internet connection was fast. The hotel was better than we expected. Perfect!

I needed to stay somewhere relatively inexpensive on my recent trip to Canmore. After reading reviews of the Econo Lodge, I booked 2 rooms and was very impressed. The Econo Lodge is extremely easy to access and although it's on a main road, I found the room very quiet. The king room was spacious, had a gas fireplace, comfortable bed and a large bathroom. It even came with a microwave and small fridge. There are lots of restaurants within a short walk, the staff are friendly and helpful and the rooms are inexpensive, especially compared to Banff (which is only 20 min or so away). The only two minor complaints that I have are that the rooms do not have many accessible electrical outlets if you need to recharge your various digital devices and the basic breakfast is quite basic. Those are very minor issues though and should not dissuade people from staying here. Quite simply, this is the best value for money accommodation in Canmore.

Room Tip: If you have a lot of luggage ask for a ground floor room, otherwise you will be hauling them up and...

We got the best deal on a beautiful King room on a last minute stay. I think if you never have to have a room planned in advance, sometimes it's worth it to take your chances. Service was excellent from start to finish. Room was clean and spacious, location was quiet (Sunday night) and the bonus option of paying for a $6 voucher to Chez Francois was well worth it for us, as we wanted a nice hardy meat and eggs breakfast. I see why this hotel is ranked so high. Location is easy to find and close to everything really. If you want a spa day in Canmore, check out Azzuro Terra Spa across the street. It's hidden in the little strip mall near Subway and a liquor store. They aren't on Trip Advisor, so I can't review them, but I have been there twice in the past and enjoy their Facial & Massage package, which they sometimes run a deal on for 1 person or for 2!

Room Tip: Take the $6 'Hot' Breakfast option for Chez Francois if you want a nice hardy breakfast to k...

Clean comfortable room, with fridge, microwave, gas fireplace. Added bonus was a deck off our room that had a snow covered mountain view. Included breakfast was more than adequate to start the day. Banff is an easy just under 1/2 hr. drive.

Room Tip: 2nd floor room with slider to deck

I was very impressed with the our room, the hotel and the service, given the very reasonable costs. I have never stayed there before, but will certainly stay there if in the area in the future. I have already recommended this place to three of my friends travelling to Canmore. While the hotel is older, everything was clean and working, something that you don't always find in newer buildings.
