Unpleasant stay, front desk is rude, dirty room. Stains in the carpet carpets not vacuumed. Unreliable customer service for its choice privileges promo..wouldn't even reply to a query about my 2 different nights stay get 1 free promo..not recommended..would never ever consider this hotel again.

Room Tip: Don't come here

We were told the room we booked online does not exist ....we booked a 2 bed queen Suite with pull out couch. Were given a double bed Suite instead and when pulled the covers back the beds were covered in hair and one in blood or feces. Room had not been cleaned at all from the previous guests....disgusting :(. Front desk staff (same guy there all the time) was rude and had no customer service skills at all. Hotel was dirty, dusty, carpets and walls were stained, elevator slow will never stay there again.

We stayed here for one night. The staff are very friendly but the rooms are very old, out of date and the carpet is filthy. For the money this hotel takes in it should have much nicer rooms. It appears as if nothing has ever been done to update these rooms. Old wallpaper, old couches and cabinets in our suite. I thought it was quite pricey for what we had. We have stayed in much better hotels for much less than we paid here. The restaurant is very expensive for breakfast. I supposed because it is a tourist destination, you pay big time. We wont stay here again.

What a nice place! First of all Canmore is beautiful in itself but this hotel took our trip from great to excellent. The service was great, friendly staff in the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant had great food, gourmet quality. The hotel was comfortable and had the feel of a small cozy lodge although it was actually quite large. The rooms were nice but need a bit of an update - overall they were still quite contemporary. The hotel had a great gym, probably the best I've seen in a hotel in a long time and a nice little swimming pool. Also a dry sauna! I was travelling with my family and would definitely stay here again when we come back to beautiful Alberta!

Room Tip: Choose a loft unit, they have two floors and can sleep 4 easily.

Stayed for 2 nights early September after reading the reviews had a degree of trepidation. We had a very good sized loft room with great views of the mountains & rail track. Never seemed bothered about the noise always had a good nights sleep. Okay the Hotel is a bit dated & probably does need some investment. However it does have some character and the young man on reception was very welcoming & friendly giving us lots of tips on places to eat, drink & visit. Although the pool is quite small when we used it we had both the pool & hot tub to ourselves watching the sunset. An easy 10-125 minute walk into town, really liked Canmore had a bit of a buzz, good beers, food and live music. Canmore ideal for exploring Kananaskis (much quieter than Banff & Jasper national parks. Would certainly recommend Canmore as a centre & the Hotel provides a value for money stay.
Top tip if you enjoy cycling must try the Canmore Nordic Centre.

I live in Canmore Alberta in the town where this hotel is located. During our flooding that happened in June 2013 my family was displaced and had no where to go. Chateau Canmore stepped up and offered all flood victims a warm place to stay. In fact, we stayed in this hotel for about a week. The room we had was very comfortable. However, since the town was basically shut down, Andrea the manager, upgraded us to their suite. The suite was very very nice. The workers were very accomodating and tended to our every needs. The manager is a very hard worker and really looked after us all. The gym is excellent, as well as the pool and out door hot tub. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The spa in the hotel is excellent as well. The massage and pedicures are some of the best I have ever had. The girls in the spa were available on short notice and very friendly.

We booked this hotel on Hotwire, so we didn't know where we would be staying. The room had 2 double beds that were terribly uncomfortable. On our second day at the hotel room service never did clean our room. The pool was small and you had to 'check out' towels at the front desk for the pool. I wouldn't stay here again.
