We have spent some nights in this wonderful hotel. The rooms have all different decoration and are very charming. The breakfast is just a dream and Peter a great help for everything you need to know about Canmore. Even if the train is sometimes a little bit noisy, I can definitely recommend this wonderful hotel. And do not forget to have a cake in the afternoon. They are just delicious!

We stayed one night in the Rundle room located on the main floor. When I first arrived the innkeeper brewed a fresh pot of coffee and had a delicious homemade chocolate cake to welcome me. It was the perfect treat after a full day of hiking!

Our room was basic but very nice. It had everything we needed including a private in suite washroom with shower.

The next morning we stayed for the most delicious breakfast! Do not miss this!

Although I have read comments about the train and noise I can tell you this is a reality of staying in Canmore. The train runs through the town where most of the hotels are located. The noise did not bother us at all.

I stayed overnight here in the Vermilion Room while attending a weekend event in Canmore. The hosts were pleasant and helpful, the room was very nice and the breakfast was delicious (& pretty). It is close to Main Street (and hence close to the train tracks,) but I didn't find the train noise disturbing at all, even with the window open. For lighter sleepers, complimentary ear plugs were supplied on the nightstand. The bathroom was large and well appointed with soaps, make-up remover pads and a hair dryer.

The bed was a little soft for my liking, but you can't please everyone. The pillows were nice though.

Breakfast was waffles with a berry compote & whipped cream served with bacon and a selection of nice fruit - a nice way to start the day. I don't think they start serving breakfast until 8:00 am though - that's a smidge late if you ask me, but there's a selection of cold cereals, muffins, fruit etc if you're a few minutes early.

Overall, a fantastic experience and I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed at the Inn this weekend; very clean, exceptionally gracious hosts and staff, and location was okay re proximity to town centre. We had the Chinook room, located on a noisy side of the Inn. Train tracks are very close, we heard the rumble of railway cars until around midnight. The main road is also close and busy, with traffic starting at around 6:30 am. The Inn keepers did have complementary earplugs available on the bedside table for 'light sleepers'. The room was very cosy, had TV, bar fridge, lounge chairs, gas fireplace, and in suite bathroom. Breakfast was yummy, options of cereals, muffins, pastries, hot was French toast and sausages. Would I stay again? Maybe, but would certainly ask for a room away from the noise:) There other wonderful B&Bs in the area and I may be inclined to find one in a quieter location.

The charm and elegance of this hotel was amazing. The atmosphere was beautiful and the interior decorating was warm and cozy. The room was spotless and the furniture very comfortable, especially the king size down filled bed and pillows. It was one of the best nights sleep we have ever had. It was a room fit for royalty and the service we received made us feel like a King and Queen. The breakfast they served was gourmet quality. Truly the BEST HOTEL STAY WE HAVE EVER HAD !!!!!!!

Room Tip: The Three Sisters room not only has a great view but was large and roomy and has a king size jacuzzi...

We was greeted with a very smiley welcome and was able to check in a bit earlier. We stayed in the Grassi Lake room which had a nice view but also included the rail line. The bedroom itself was nice and clean and roomy. A four poster bed, however did squeak a little. We couldn't open the window too much which was good and bad, good because I wouldn't hear the train, bad because it was a little warm in the room however there is a fan. The breakfast was very tasty! Would eat that any day. Would I go back? I'd like to try out the other high rated BnB's in the area first.

We just spent two nights at the Lady MacDonald Inn and I wish we could have been there our whole vacation. The rooms were beautiful, clean and cozy. The breakfast each morning was excellent and the owners made us feel at home and tried to help in any way they could. I would definately recommend this Inn. My family is planning a trip next year and we will stay here again. I have nothing negative to say about the Lady MacDonald Inn.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Cascade room and the view was fantastic. The Three Sisters Room also has a fantast...
