Older hotel, but smaller. Lovely resturant, great food!

Our first room was a wee bit unclean and so they changed our room. Each room appears to be decorated a little differently. It seems to try to catch the victorian era in the colours and styling. Rooms have a little fridge and a coffee maker. The beds are super comfy! There is I believe a whirlpool and a fire place in each room.

We will be going back to this hotel!

The staff were exceedingly polite and helpful. Granted, it was relatively quite in mid-week when we were there but their attitude was great. Value wise I was pleasantly surprised as they have package deals that just can't be beat. We stayed one night, in a large room, mountain view, corner jaccuzi, and fireplace, king size bed, included dinner, breakfast, wine in room, chocolate strawberries in the evening for $159. + tax, of course. It is an older hotel, but well maintained, on the main road, only 20+ rooms, so totally quaint compared to the normal "Name Brand Chains"

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd floor, as above..

We stayed a single night but found the Georgetown Inn to be a surprising gem of appeal. It was fascinating to wander the halls and see the many films both old and new that were shot here in the Bow Valley and surrounding area. The staff were very knowledgable and even madea point of offering some of the films on DVD's. Apparently the Inn has been around for some time but the appeal and eccentricity of the older building was offset by the information and anecdotes found throughout.

The Georgetown Inn is a very quaint Inn, with lots of neat pictures and artifacts. As soon as you walk in you feel comfortable and cozy. The front desk staff were very pleasant and polite, did not hesitate to offer help. The large room, had a King sized bed, a nice deep jetted tub, comfortable armchairs by the fireplace, and a great view! We were going to have dinner "downtown" but heard good reviews about "The Miner's Lamp", the in-house pub/restaurant, and opted for that. They have traditional English pub-fare, the Shepherd's Pie was delicious, as was the creme-brule cheesecake! Breakfast was very hearty, and best value, since it was free ($7 towards breakfast coupon) with the room!!

We stayed at the Georgetown Inn the night before our wedding, and we also had the wedding itself at the Georgetown. The staff catered to all our needs and made sure our day was perfect. The food was great, and we were just really well treated. The rooms were reasonably priced. The hotel was also very accommodating to all the people we had come to our big day. All in all, it was a great experience, and I'm glad the Georgetown made our day that much more special.

We stayed here with Groupon; it was a better-than-expected liitle place near downtown. We were going to walk to get food, but instead walked downstairs to the nice pub and stayed till closing, the bartendar is a wonderful guy. Like the decor of old mountain climbing profiles and gear and movie filming location on the walls upstairs which was a change from the typical shots of Lake Louise and 3 Sisters. Clean rooms, super comfy bed, good breakfast.

I have stayed at the Georgetown many timesw over the years and while it appeared to be slipping they are clearly on stride now. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with great charm. The beds are very comfortable and being able to have a glass of wine by the fireplace in the pub and then my room was a treat. Speaking of the pub traditional English with great service and spectacular comfort food prepared and served perfectly. Nice to have things you can rely on when travelling.
