“Fun but heavy”
Reviewed 8 June 2014

Fun menu, nice british pub style. Featuring fish and chips and many beef dishes (roast beef, stuffed yorkshire pudding, stew). In the end, all the beef dishes were exactly the same thing, with the same gravy and all were heavy. Even the beers didn't thrill. But nice easy place with friendly service and good atmosphere. Breakfast is a better choice of meals with lots of crazy french toasts...etc.

“Poor Fish & Chips”
Reviewed 4 June 2014

I hate reading long reviews, but in this case I MUST tell you our experience. We tried the Georgetown Pub based on a flyer they distributed that stated that they had the "BEST FISH & CHIPS in Bow Valley 4 years running". My wife and I both ordered the Halibut fish & chips. The crust was over cooked and burnt in places. The halibut was also OVER COOKED AND DRY. Although we finished our meal, my wife commented to the waiter that the chef needs to take the fish off the grill sooner or change the oil more frequently. As we were leaving, a fellow patron met us outside and asked us if we had a problem with the fish and chips. When we replied that we did, he stated that a person at his table had to send the fish back because it was so dry and burnt. We commented that we were surprised with the quality of the fish & chips based on rave reviews in Tripadvisor. Once again, it may be a case of wrong place at wrong time.

“Classic Style”
Reviewed 4 May 2014

Great decor that is a bit overwhelming at first but suits the style of dining and food. Can clearly taste and see dedication in the food. This place is in desperate need of a server behind the bar. The servers always look flustered and someone helping prepare their needed drinks as well as tend to thirsty visitors would make it more enjoyable.

“Fabulous Fish & Chips!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

We recently stayed at The Georgetown Inn, in Canmore, Alberta, and enjoyed a couple meals in the on-site pub. The Fish & Chips were very good and the Chicken Tikka Masala was yummy. Their Sticky Toffee Pudding was delicious...and a generous enough portion for two people to share.
They have a nice selection of Scotches, if that's your thing, and the house White Wine I was served was very nice.
The decor is quaint, comfortable and welcoming.
We'll definitely be back!

“Fabulous Breakfast”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

Came here for Breakfast and ordered the Full English Breakfast, the food was amazing (especially the Hash Browns). The value for what you received was very good. I will definitely recommend this to others if they are looking for a Hearty Breakfast for a great value. Will be back for sure.
