Owner description: Golf on the Roof of the World - When the game of golf is played on a course carved out of original Rocky Mountain terrain, something fundamental changes. There is a mystery built in. Not just the practical question of where the ball will land, but how will you ever return to urban golf after a magical mountain golfing experience like the one at Silvertip. Designed by world renowned architect Les Furber, the course plays from an approachable 5,089 yards to an awesome championship 7,173 yards, with over 600 feet of elevation change, making it the single most breathtaking mountain course in the world for literally any level of play.

“Spectacular round of golf!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 July 2014

This is definitely a "bucket list" round of golf. Well worth the price for a real treat. One of the most beautiful golf courses. Very challenging greens! Excellent course to take out of town guests for the "wow" factor. Be sure to make time for a meal on the patio before or after your round. Food, service and views are very good. Loved it. Hope to return soon.

“A top 10 course. Period. ”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 July 2014 via mobile

Silvertip is an outstanding track. Stunning views on every hole as you play a demanding and challenging layout.

I played from the Professional tees at around 6500 and this is a good test of golf. The course plays long due to the elevation changes. You can step back to the tournament tees at 7140 if you wish. The course can also be played from 5515 if you wish.

Elevation reigns supreme here and this is, without a doubt, target golf. To play well here, you need to be able to control your distance, shot shape and trajectory.

The course was in immaculate shape and the greens run true.

Keep your eyes open for all sorts of wildlife.

This is not a walkable course.

The range is great and is included.

Don't miss the chance to play Silvertip. Bring your A game and your camera. You will need both.

“Most beautiful course around”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 July 2014

You can't beat the scenery here. Course was in great shape even though they had top dressed the greens in the last week or so. Staff very helpful and polite. Course is tough with lots of ups and downs and narrow fairways, along with sloped lies. But for us, the scores didn't matter. It is an awe-inspiring experience, and worth every penny.

“World Class”

Liked everything except the lack of food & beverage availability and accessibility. Views were stunning and the condition of the course was second to none.

“Spectacular golf”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 July 2014

Gorgeous, stunning course. A challenging course with amazing back drop. Every hole is beautiful with the Three Sisters, Ha Ling or Lady MacDonald behind you, but some holes are spectacular. The course is also in great shape, especially the greens. Be prepared to play around a few elks and the occasional bear may cross your path-they give you lots of warnings on the GPS. The bonus in July is that it doesn't get dark until after 9:00pm. Facilities are great-well stocked range, friendly starters and pro shop staff and washrooms are immaculate. We are used to playing in California where the rolling hills in the background are brown due to the drought, so the Rockies seem very lush . Love this course.
