“Get out and walk!”
Reviewed 2 January 2014

Canmore is a walking town! Trails and paths crisscross the town. Don't visit without taking a long stroll along the Bow River. In winter, you might feel more comfortable with "Yak Traxs", studded attachments for the soles of your boots. They are available everywhere in town for about $15. We bought some at Canadian Tire, along with ice skates to enjoy the huge natural skating rink at 7 and 10 sts.

“a walking town”
Reviewed 1 January 2014

Canmore is a great town to walk around in, and the boardwalk is a casual stroll that takes you to your condo at Spring Creek or back into town, well maintained year round.. and safe.

“Nice, pleasant walk”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

Enjoyed our walk along Policeman's Creek Boardwalk while visiting Canmore. Nice pleasant walk to help get our legs ready for some hiking we would be doing later in the week.

“A pleasant stroll (with the ever present bugs!)”
Reviewed 21 August 2013

A pleasant stroll in the middle of Canmore - you wouldn't believe that you are in the middle of town. One of the many paths around the town and riverside to stretch your legs in pleasant and scenic surroundings. As with much of this region - Bug spray should always be to hand!

“Bring your Bug Spray”
Reviewed 20 August 2013

This is a lovely area to walk early in the morning on your way to the downtown if you are staying in the area. I would recommend bringing some mosquito repellent you so you don't have to sprint back to your hotel!
