On the drive from Drumheller to Banff, drove through Canmore for lunch. Hadn't picked any place in mind, but knew it was no to fast food or crappy chain restaurants. We saw a few places, but never turned the wheel, then huzzah - on the other side of the street was Sage. Looked good. Was good! Mom had a soup and a small sandwich, i had the lunch special. All was very good, very fresh and a great patio. Also had a wee visitor, a prairie dog, make her way around our table. I'd go here again if i'm ever back out this way.

Recently visited, I had the steelhead and wife had the risotto and we both thoroughly enjoyed are meals. Nice patio area as well. Unique feature is the restaurant offers two menu's, a regular one and a tapas menu.

On our way through Canmore this trip, we strategically planned it so we could manage to stop for dinner at Sage again in the upstairs Bistro wine bar. We sat on the balcony, with a gorgeous mountain view, ate beautiful food and had the best service possible from Danielle! If I lived in Canmore, this place would become a weekly event in my life!

Our group had Lamb Burgers with Sweet Potato Fries and we all enjoyed them to the last crumb. The wait staff was excellent and the prices were quite reasonable.

This restaurant had nice food we had a really good steak. The waitress was helpful and the atmosphere nice, and given certain conditions I would go again. The problem is it just lacked that little extra to make it excellent. I did enjoy the meal and considered it reasonable value, so please do not be put off by this review, it is not my intention to do that
